Must do waterfall hike in Northern Utah! 💦🥾⛰️

If you're looking for a quick + easy waterfall hike perfect for families, this is it! 🙌🏼

This is the Grotto Falls Trail in the Uinta Wasache Cache National Forest in Payson, UT!

- .6mile trail out and back trail
- 183 ft of elevation gain
- about a 30 minute hike
- trail follows a stream and opens up into a grotto with a cascading waterfall pouring in
- kid friendly hike!

🏔️Grand Geton National Park 🏔️

This park is nothing short of breathtaking and there are endless ways to enjoy its beauty. Here are 3 MUST see stops while in the park:

🏔️ Mormon Row
🏔️ Hike Jenny Lake
🏔️ Drive the 42 mile scenic route

Don't forget to stop in Jackson Hole after you spend the day in the park for things to do, places to eat, and local shopping!

Is this the best hike in all of Utah?! 🥾🧐

📍Stewart Cascade Falls
⛰️ Wasatch Mountains
🥾 3.5 milked round trip, rated moderate
💦 200 foot waterfall and when the waters not rushing you can walk behind it!
🧗🏻‍♀️Passes through potential avalanche terrain
🚗 Subject to seasonal closures from 7/16-11/14 so check before you go!
💵 there is an entry fee
‼️ Leave no trace and bring plenty of water! 💧

This hike was 100% worth it, but as someone who's not used to the elevation it did challenge me. Be sure to bring trail snacks and water and don't hike in the heat of the day!

The view of the waterfall and the river with the mountains in the background was absolutely stunning 😍

This was one of my favorite hikes we did in Utah!

IG vs. Reality ‼️

This is your reminder that social media is fake and lots of times popular hikes, national parks, and lookout points have crowds of people waiting to see them.

Here are two big tips to avoid running into huge crowds when visiting the national parks:

-visit in the OFF season. Crowds and wait times are significantly lower during non peak season plus the changing seasons give the park an entirely new feel

- arrive early! Not many people are willing to wake up to be at a view point of a hike by sunrise meaning you'll have a much smaller crowd to deal with.

We were tempted to pass up this popular stop at Yellowstone National Park simply because of the big crowds that typically are associated with it.

I'm so glad we didn't! 🙌🏼😍

It spans 370 across, 160 feet deep, and its water output is more that 550 gallons per minute?!? 🤯 It also exhibits almost every color of the rainbow! 🌈
