the story of becoming a pilates instructor ✨

I stumbled upon @niftypilates when it first opened last summer in Kelowna and knew right away I had to be part of this special place. My journey as an instructor started when I did my 200-hour yoga teacher training in Nicaragua in 2022 with @yogaacademyinternational. I began to teach at industry conferences with @urbanlandinstitute and pop-up events alongside my full-time job. My passion for teaching remained and so, as I always have done, my desire to increase my education and learnings grew. I then undertook the group fitness training program through @nasmfitness followed by @humanimoves for mat and reformer pilates. It was at that point I knew I wanted to move forward with full force to have teaching a permanent part of my schedule and life. I then joined @myestudiokelowna studio too as a mat pilates instructor.

The wellness habits, entrepreneurial community, dedicated clients, supportive studios, strong colleagues, resilient leaders, consistent movement, and fun environments everywhere I go are unmatched. Thank you world for this beautiful ongoing learning and growth opportunity to share what I love with others🌟

3 Years Sober 🎉

It all started with a 30-day gut reset coming out of Summer 2023, and my first sober wedding as an MC. Then, it was until the holidays. Then, another quarter. Then, my first sober summer. Until one day it became multiple years just like that. They say the first year is the most pivotal in a sobriety journey because it takes the brain and body a full year to heal from the effects of alcohol and adjust to an alcohol-free lifestyle. They also say it’s equally challenging as it is rewarding. Honestly for me, it’s hardly been a challenge and has been incredibly rewarding in that I feel the most fantastic I've ever felt.

I've lost inflammatory weight, eliminated bloating, saved money, no longer experience brain fog or nasty hangovers, stopped ingesting poison and empty calories with no nutritional benefit, cleansed out my microbiome, have become crystal clear in my goals and vision, go to bed and wake up early for optimal sleep, practice healthy eating habits, build muscle mass, and now revolve my life around wellness 💙 I’m so proud of this big milestone and can’t wait to continue down this beautiful journey of positive growth all thanks to one 30-day gut reset program a friend asked me to join her in once upon a time.

Thank you @arbonne for being a catalyst to so many amazing pro changes that have come into my life and are here to stay 💕
