No passwords.
No deadlines.
No “you’re on mute.”

Only crumbs and the freedom to shit on things.

I took the wrong career path.

There’s something about American muscle.

The lines.
The chrome.
The attitude.

And this blue? I’d happily rearrange the garage.

November sunshine, leaves underfoot, and absolutely no intention of rushing into Christmas.

Autumn still has my attention.

BE BRAVE.

Speak up.
Try something unfamiliar.
Stop waiting to feel completely ready.
A little nerve goes a long way.

Less explaining. Fewer reluctant yeses. Much less concern about being everyone’s cup of tea.

If you’ve noticed a change, please consider this my acceptance speech.

This one made me feel all the feels. Love, longing, regret, sadness.

Heart the Lover was a pick from @willdesign4wine book club, and I’m so glad I read it. The relationships felt messy, tender, and imperfect, which made the emotional moments hit even harder.

A beautiful, aching read.

My collection keeps growing, which only means one thing… I’m getting stronger.

And everything hurts.

Heavier weights. Stronger muscles. An increasingly dramatic relationship with stairs.

Proud of the progress. Less thrilled about sitting down.

You don’t need to have the whole week figured out today.

Start with what you need.

Leave a little room for what brings you joy.

Do more of what you love.
Wear the color.
Book the trip.
Spend an afternoon doing something simply because you enjoy it.

Some recipes are special for reasons beyond what comes out of the oven.

I picked up this blueberry buckle recipe during a whale watching tour on @pugetsoundexpress on a day @rob1st and I talk about fondly. The experience was unforgettable, and somehow, we came home with a recipe that’s become a little piece of that memory.

Juicy blueberries, tender buttery cake, and a golden crumb topping. Simple, homemade, and absolutely delicious.

When I bake it, we are reminded of an extraordinary day and why some of the best souvenirs aren’t things you buy.
