I was living in Georgia, and I was hungry for nature. Thirsty for every mystery, every mountain, every valley. Every weekend I was hiking or traveling, chasing the ocean, a waterfall, the forest, Sedona.

I was longing for a place that could hold my grief. Somewhere as vast as it was deep to contain it, without it spilling over into everything else in my life. Turns out…grief isn’t like that. It’s all consuming. It’s sneaky. It takes up space within.

Let nature be your guide, your companion, your comfort, your sanctuary. by @wanderingsofjackie

It’s October and fall is coming. As the days shorten, we begin to prepare for moving inward, and that starts with releasing what we don’t need to carry forward.

At the open mic last weekend, we closed with a grief ritual.
We released and let burn.

Some things can’t be talked out. They have to be in motion.
This is one reason I love the act and art of ritual.

What would you write on your slip? Tell me below…or save it to burn.🔥

Several years ago, my best friend Natalie told me this field was the best place to let some shit go.
All those ears... listening. I’ve never forgotten it.

When life gets heavy (and it does), I walk the edge of it. I say what I need to say, and the field holds whatever I let go.

Sometimes a walk and a chat with anything that has ears, is all we need.

Yoga is a practice of going inward…and sometimes that practice looks like learning to be still in the middle of the chaos. The outside world can get loud at times.

As you read this, I invite you to ask yourself: What’s happening inside me right now? Inside my body, inside my heart, inside my mind?

What would I change if I cared less about how this part of my life looks and more about how it feels?

No right answer. Just a moment to turn inward.✨

So much to unpack here. This space is just as much about those coming to listen and receive as it is for those who are sharing.

It couldn’t have been a more perfect evening. The full moon, fire…all of the elements. Truly, we haven’t had a fall night like this in a bit. It was lovely and all who came were lovely.
We will meet again, among the ebb and flow of grief and gratitude.

More to come.💕🦋 by @wanderingsofjackie

When a beloved leaves this earth, they take part of us with them. Physiologically, their death feels completely unfamiliar in our bodies.

This makes sense, because their physical presence is no longer. Why wouldn’t we have a physical response?
#l
The question then becomes…do we recognize it?

Find joy in the everyday.

I’m still sitting with all that took place last , and a longer reflection is coming. Right now my heart is just full of gratitude — for everyone who showed up for themselves. Those who read, who listened, who sat in the quiet with a stranger’s grief like it was their own.

This space only exists because people trust it enough to bring their real stories and souls to it. Thank you for that trust.

More soon. For now…thank you.

Lastly, the weather, the moon. The elements. Thankful. by @wanderingsofjackie

Our bodies hold us. It’s where we live.

Movement moves grief. Not big movement — small movement. A shoulder roll. A slow breath. A hand opening and closing.

When we’re carrying something heavy, we think we need to do something huge to feel different. But sometimes it’s just remembering that your body can move at all.

That’s enough. That’s the practice. by @wanderingsofjackie

Teachers need teachers, too.

Making space for my own practice and discipline is just as important as showing up to teach here.

This is where I come to move, sweat, breathe, and practice. This is where I come to care for my own soul, mind, and body.

Grateful for the teachers(and students) who make this place so dang good. taken in Tapas Yoga by @wanderingsofjackie
