Finally got my buck back from the taxidermist, and I couldn’t be happier with how he turned out!

Hunting is about so much more than the harvest. It’s conservation, respect for wildlife, knowing where your food comes from, and putting quality, locally sourced meat on the table for my family.

Full freezer, memories made, and a pretty badass addition to the house. 🤘🏼

Looking for an easy fall walk in Acadia National Park? 🍂🥾

The Jordan Pond Path Loop is a scenic 3.3-mile loop featuring beautiful pond views, mountain scenery, and gorgeous fall foliage.

Want to add another iconic stop? 🪨 Hike South Bubble Trail to see the famous Bubble Rock, the boulder perched on the edge of the mountain that looks like it’s barely balancing! The South Bubble out and back hike is roughly 1 mile round trip, with a steep climb but worth it!

🚙 A day on the Golden Road 🌲

We made a whole day of exploring Ripogenus Dam + the Boom House, with beautiful views of Katahdin and crossing Abol Bridge along the way. 🏔️

⚠️ A few things to know:
• VERY rough road
• Absolutely NO cell service 📵
• Good tires + a spare are a must
• Bring plenty of water, food & emergency supplies
• Download your maps before you go

It’s remote, it’s bumpy, and it’s 100% worth the adventure!

📍 Flume Gorge | Franconia Notch State Park, NH

This place is SO cool. You’re walking through an 800-foot-long natural gorge with huge granite walls, waterfalls, covered bridges + Wolf’s Den, a narrow rock passage you can actually climb through. 🪨👀
🪨 The granite here formed nearly 200 million years ago!

A few things to know:
🥾 About a 2-mile loop
⏰ Plan for around 1.5 hours
💦 Avalanche Falls + several other waterfalls
🪨 Granite walls up to 90 feet high
🌉 Historic covered bridge

Fun fact: the gorge was discovered in 1808 by a 93-year-old woman who was fishing! 🤯

Definitely worth adding to your White Mountains itinerary!

📍 Beech Mountain loop - Southwest Harbor, Maine
↗️ Recommend going clockwise for the steeper climb up
🔥 Historic fire tower from 1941. You can climb to the first level for views of Southwest Harbor, Bass Harbor, Long Pond, Echo Lake & the surrounding mountains
🅿️ Small parking lot, so go early or later in the afternoon/evening for sunset 🌅

Fun hike, great views, and something a little different from the usual Acadia stops. ✨

Acadia Mountain in Acadia National Park is supposed to deliver some of the most fjord-like scenery on the East Coast, with views toward Somes Sound. 🌊

🥾 Trail: Acadia Mountain Loop
📍 Location: Mount Desert Island, Acadia National Park
📏 Distance: ~2.5 miles
⬆️ Elevation: ~681 ft

Save this for your Acadia trip, and maybe check the forecast before you go. 😂

Such a fun last-minute decision!! 🧗‍♀️🤍

It started raining on our way to Acadia, so we decided to wait it out and ended up at @voltaclimbing in Trenton instead. The girls and I had an absolute blast!

It’s a full climbing gym with bouldering + rope climbing with belay, and you can rent the gear right there, so you don’t need to show up with anything! They also have snacks and drinks if you need a little fuel. 🙌

Definitely going back because I think we may have just found ourselves a new hobby! 😂 I’m pretty sure I’ll be taking a belaying course next because I need to be able to climb with these girls again!

Maybe I’m not building generational wealth…

I’m building generational memories. 😂✈️🌎

I didn’t grow up going on trips, so apparently my solution as an adult is to make sure my kids have absolutely no idea how to sit still at home. 😂

We’re going places.
We’re making memories.
We’re probably spending money we should be saving.

But one day I hope they look back and say,

“Damn, Mom really made life an adventure.” ❤️

So yeah… maybe I’m financially irresponsible.

But at least I’m creating a very well-traveled next generation. 😂✈️

Maine’s Niagara Falls 🌊 | Big & Little Niagara Falls
📍 Baxter State Park-Two waterfalls along the Nesowadnehunk Stream accessed via the Appalachian Trail

🥾 Hike: ~2.5 miles round trip
⛰️ Difficulty: Easy–moderate
📈 Elevation gain: ~180 ft
🚗 Drive: ~40 minutes from Togue Pond Gate to Daicey Pond
🎟️ Gate: You’ll need to check in at the Baxter State Park gate and pay the applicable entrance fee.
🅿️ Parking: Limited - get there early!
