An 1852 home once gifted by chief Justice John Marshall to his granddaughter, now filled with three girls three dogs three cats in about 100 chickens. Yes. I have a thing for dogs, real ones or otherwise. Today we went to see a castle and I ended up with these quite unexpectedly. I had to buy the copper pot to carry them all. But, I’ve done worse. I had a great 2nd day in England and looking forward to what’s coming next. Thanks to @hohantiques for organizing such a wonderful trip! We are only just getting started! by @wanderingwoodside

A most special presentation set of antique French sterling is off to a new home. Likely a gift to King Napoleon III and his wife, Queen Eugenie, the pieces and their box bear their initials and royal crown hallmark. I love finding special pieces with incredible stories. My two favorite fall shows are happening soon in the DMV, back to back weekends at the stunning @aixlachapellefarm in Poolesville, MD. You can expect the full on experience from shopping amazing vendors to great food trucks and freshly brewed coffee and treats, all in a wonderful and beautifully curated country setting spread across 13 buildings with over 70 vendors at each! The fun begins on October 30th for Old Line that goes Friday-Sunday and the following weekend you can shop Mid Atlantic for another 3 days starting November 6 through the 8th. As someone who loves all things beautiful for our homes, nothing could be better. We will see you at both, with our dogs and girls in tow! by @wanderingwoodside

Large scale, John Ridgeway “Auckland“ Imperial Stone platter, 19.5 x 16, Staffordshire. Circa 1830. Honest minor age flaking on the raised enamel flowers. Perfectly crisp makers mark on the back. Just stunning. Offered at $395.

Monumental 22 x 18 Staffordshire platter in the Pomerania pattern by John Ridgway, Circa, 1835–1840. Single rim chip as expected, fabulous Antique condition. Offered for $430.

Super heavyweight 19th century flow blue chinoiserie platter. Gorgeous Ink bleeding, one classic rim chip and a smaller one adjacent. Beautiful overall condition. 16 X 12 and offered for $245.
