My heart is so full after being part of Protect Our Winters Canada’s Summit on Gambier Island. 🥰
I’ve been involved with @protectourwinterscanada since its inception and have had the privilege of being a chapter lead for many years. POW has inspired me to keep raising my voice, and to encourage others to do the same, for better policies that protect and conserve the outdoor spaces we love.

I recreate outdoors year-round, and honestly, one of the reasons I stayed in Calgary after moving from New Brunswick was because I fell completely in love with the mountains. But loving these places also means recognizing that they need more people to speak up, share their concerns, and advocate for their protection.

This summit was a great reminder of the saying: “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” There is so much power in bringing together people who share a vision for safer, healthier, and conserved outdoor spaces that we can enjoy for generations to come. So, if you’re not a member of POW Canada, join us & add your voice toward better climate policies 🙌

One thing about me: I’ll be your loudest cheerleader. You worked hard for that sht.

Support crew and cheer squad while waiting for my turn to run. Love the entire process and logistics of this relay format.

Workout challenge: everytime I say any of the phrases below do the following exercise or take a shot of tequila 🤣
• let’s go!: run 1km
• you got this!: set of Glenora stairs
• wheu!: 10 jumping air squats
• hell yeah!: 10 alternating bird dogs
• crushing it!: 5 pull ups
• have fun!: 5 burpees

I think I was screaming the entire day 🤣

I love having dogs that shred twice a year six months at a time 🫠

If you see white and brown fur, just know a Husky Great Pyrenees and Labrador donated to the duck nests around the lakes and dog parks we frequent 🤣
