This pink beach on Padar Island 🩷

I always thought the photos of this place I’d seen online were heavily edited, but the sand is truly pink in real life! Its colour comes from tiny fragments of red coral and microscopic marine organisms mixing with the white sand. The pink looks even more vibrant in the early morning light and where the sand is wet. And the crystal-clear turquoise water makes this beach even more beautiful 🥰

César Manrique, Lanzarote’s visionary architect, created unique spaces in harmony with the island’s raw landscape. At Mirador del Río, his design blends seamlessly into the cliffs while offering incredible views over La Graciosa island. The same philosophy is reflected in his home, built within volcanic lava bubbles, a remarkable example of nature becoming part of his architecture 🖤

Playa de Famara is a beautiful beach stretching for miles beneath the cliffs of Famara. Check the tide times and make sure to visit at low tide, when the wide sandy beach opens up and turns into a huge mirror 🙃 Even better if low tide coincides with sunset!
