My 6-10 between my 9-5 🥹✨Lots of micro adventures fitted in after the work day, and I genuinely couldn’t be happier. After dealing with severe burn out and just general unhappiness, finding my feet again has been so good for the soul. Skye welcomed us with open arms, the sun was incredible, and even though now it’s slightly more cool and misty, we are still having the best time ever!I am so big on people finding their own path, and that doesn’t always look like the route that you’ve been told to follow through societal conventions and that’s okay. I moved to the Isle of Skye!! This feels so surreal to say, but I quite literally live beneath the Cuillins 🥹 the past few months have been so hard mentally, but to say there’s been a massive shift in my mindset is an understatement. After a pretty awful start to the year dealing with grief while building my own business, I couldn’t shake the feeling of being near the mountains again. And now I’m here, my creative juices are flowing again and I truly feel happy. Here’s to a new chapter… ☁️✨I’m so excited to be moving, and especially to one of my favourite places. I started freelance at the start of this year, and it’s been exciting, but I’ve never been on my phone and laptop so much!I crave the mountains and the ocean air, and it’s affecting my mental health massively, so the change is needed. I’ve loved Scotland since I first visited, and to make it my home for a while will be a dream come true. Is this Wales’ best light house? 🌊💡Since moving away from the mountains (for a short while), I’ve found a deep appreciation for the coast. The sea breeze, the beautiful beaches, and the wild life, have captivated me beyond words. I never realised how much I love photographing this type of scenery before, and Wales really taught me to appreciate it. The morning chorus 🌅I’ve pictured this view in my mind for years every time I thought about North Wales, and after 2 attempts of heading to Angelsey, I finally got the light and scene I wanted. The birds swooping into the landscape just further added to that “I got the shot” moment. The Beach made of Bones… Claigan Coral Beach is made up of crushed seashells and the bleached skeleton of red coralline seaweed, which makes it look like teeny tiny bones. Adventure is waiting for us allAnd sometimes it starts with booking a trip that feels a little outside your comfort zone.When I signed up for six days hiking through the Swedish wilderness with a group of people I’d never met before, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. What I found was an experience that was about so much more than hiking.A huge thank you to @hammockhaveneu for creating an environment where stepping into the unknown felt easy. From the moment we arrived, all we had to do was trust the process, follow the trail, and be present. The rest seemed to take care of itself.It’s easy to talk ourselves out of experiences like these. 60km, 6 days, 9 people, one heavy backpack, and so many blisters. We made our way to Arvika Sweden, met up with the wonderful guys at @hammockhaveneu and set off carrying everything we needed for the next 6 days on our backs. We spent time hiking through endless forest, nights around campfires, sharing stories of our travels and talking about our favourite places. I never imagined how amazing Hammock camping truly is, but I’ve genuinely never slept so good! Days blended together so effortlessly, and the word ‘strangers’ quickly disappeared. This was my first long distance hike, and It definitely won’t be my last.
