Councilman Joe Carn was honored to attend the 94th birthday celebration of civil rights icon Andrew Young.

It was a privilege to celebrate a living legend whose leadership, service, and lifelong commitment to justice continue to inspire generations.

Councilman Carn also had the opportunity to spend time with Mrs. Billye Aaron, whose legacy of service and community impact remains deeply rooted across Atlanta and beyond.

Moments like these remind us of the shoulders we stand on—and the responsibility we carry to continue building stronger communities for the future.

Dr. Jamelle Just finished touring the @cityofcollegepark with City Manager Hicks, Mayor Broom, Mayor Pro Tem Carn and members of our Public Works Team to check on road conditions and areas of concern due to our January Winter storm. City offices will be closed on Monday January 26, 2026 and there may be black ice and ice cycles on trees in the morning, so please take extra precautions if you must be away from home. We will continued to keep you informed as we navigate through the beginning of the week. #buildingcollegeparkbetter2026 taken in College Park, Georgia by @ward2joecarn

Ward 2 has spoken and today, we celebrate not only a victory, but a renewed vision for the future of College Park.

Thank you to every voter, volunteer, and supporter who made this possible. Your energy, dedication, and belief in this community made all the difference.

Congratulations to our citizens on the passing of HB 648, bringing long-awaited property tax relief to senior homeowners who have given so much to this city. Your faithfulness and service have not gone unnoticed, this win is for you.

This is our moment to come together not as factions, but as one College Park family. Let’s move forward with hope, faith, and determination to build a city that honors every voice and uplifts every resident.

Leadership. Hard Work. Common Sense.

📣 PROVEN LEADERSHIP. REAL RESULTS.

State Representative Park Cannon said it best: Councilman Joe Carn has already been doing the work.

✅ Fought to remove slumlords
✅ Improved housing options
✅ Built parks and increased neighborhood lighting
✅ Led Ward 2 to the largest drop in crime citywide 🗣️ nearly 30%!

This isn’t about promises, it’s about progress.
This Election Day, vote for Councilman Joe Carn, Ward 2 because the work is already working. 💪🏾

Chairman Rob Pitts stopped by to stand with Councilmen Roderick Gay and Joe Carn, alongside community members and volunteers in College Park.

It’s a powerful reminder that when we come together… leadership, residents, and neighbors progress becomes possible. Let’s keep moving College Park forward! 💪🏾
