this year we released two new songs, tried our best to visit you, then turned ten and had a big party. that said, for many reasons the time has come to step away. Effective immediately, Wares is on indefinite hiatus.

that the band means something to you means the world to me. Thank you for your love and support, always and forever❣️ taken in Treaty No. 6 Territory by @waresmusic

ten years of this band today. a crudely rendered EP shared on facebook, open mics, a screeching halt before coming out and trying again. I feel deep gratitude for everyone that gave me a chance, then and now. too many to name but i remember and thank you. to Joel and @sewer.cig and @a.d.kheroufi and @connorellinger and @field_trucker and @hollstarz and @jamiemclean2 , thank you for bringing the music to life and pushing it forward. To everyone that’s let us crash a floor or a bill in their city, thanks and love and see you next time.

We’re playing maybe our biggest show yet next month, thanks to your continuing support. It’s gonna be wild and i can’t wait to run around and play some loud guitar, to feel out the way ahead. for now, it’s all love ❣️ taken in Treaty No. 6 Territory by @waresmusic

i remember Ben Sir as one of the most enthusiastic and welcoming people in edmontons music scene. a killer voice and a songwriter that knew how to balance intensity and momentum and heartfelt memory. I’ll never forget, and am thankful for the music. love and condolences to those who knew him. taken in Edmonton, Alberta by @waresmusic
