Not that I think there was any doubt, but I believe it’s important to take a stance regardless:

Warlocks of Morgul is in every way AGAINST the use of AI in ANY AND ALL forms of artistic expression.

Generative AI is antithetical to art in every way, and no amount of convenience can justify the catastrophic environmental impact of AI data centres.

All music by Warlocks of Morgul is made by hand with intention and vision, and all artwork used is made by real, human artists (@weilerjoseph, @softrotink, @rotting_reign). All guitars, bass, drums, and orchestrations/keys/programming are done by myself, as well as all lyrics and vocals. To introduce AI into the creative process is to sacrifice the very humanity that art is meant to draw upon.

Art can only be made by humans, for humans. Generative AI only serves to benefit the corporate entities who try so desperately to impose it upon us. Warlocks of Morgul’s music will ALWAYS be made by hand WITHOUT the use of any generative AI “tools.” by @warlocksofmorgul

Solo from “To Forsake” off the album “Empire of Puritanical Sorrow” ⚔️

I wanted this whole track to be very cinematic and over the top, and so I really struggled with writing this solo at first as I didn’t want to risk leaning too much in one direction and potentially ruining the climax of the first movement of the song. I think there ended up being 4 or 5 different renditions of this solo, each with a different blend of shred and feel, before I decided to dispel with any worries of being “too flashy” and just write what felt right. Thus, it is an excessive solo to complement an already explosive track, and one of my favourite solos I’ve ever written. 🤘 by @warlocksofmorgul

Apologies for my silence, but I have been completely engrossed in the next Warlocks release. This is a riff from one of the new tracks that demands some decent picking endurance.

Thank you all for the overwhelmingly positive reception of Empire of Puritanical Sorrow, your support motivates and inspires beyond words. It hopefully shouldn’t be long before the next release is ready to be revealed. 🙏🤘 by @warlocksofmorgul

Chilling and downright captivating in its fantastical mysticism, Warlocks of Morgul is a name we would do well to remember.
