🇲🇾Craving Malaysian food in Adelaide? Warong Parkside is worth adding to your list!

A cosy, relaxed spot for an affordable Malaysian meal with family — and if Parkside isn’t nearby, you can check out their other locations too!

🍜 What we tried:
• Combination Char Kway Teow — smoky wok hei, glossy noodles with sambal on the side. This was the standout for me, and I’d definitely order it again! The sambal sauce is not spicy for me and it is worth trying. 🤤
• Mixed Grill Platter — chargrilled prawns, chicken skewers and beef ribs. It comes with delicious satay sauce.
• Hainanese Chicken Rice - Perfectly cooked fragrant rice! Dipping the chicken in the chilli sauce and soy sauce is a must!
• Chicken Roll (Lobak)
• Iced Teh Tarik ⭐️
• Chrysanthemum Tea ⭐️
• Tangerine Lemon ⭐️ - super refreshing! Not a drink I come across often in Adelaide Asian restaurants, so definitely worth trying if you spot it. 🍊🍋

We were kindly invited to Warong TTP, and from the moment we arrived, the team were incredibly hospitable and genuinely such a great bunch to be around!

And the food absolutely delivered. We tried the Grilled Beef Ribs, Combination Laksa, Nasi Lemak with Beef Rendang, Fried Koay Teow and Satay Chicken, alongside their special Iced Teh Tarik and an Iced Coffee. Everything was extremely delicious and packed with flavour, but what we loved most was how every dish had its own distinct taste, from the rich rendang and comforting laksa to those flavour-packed beef ribs.

While we visited their Tea Tree Plaza branch, this review applies across Warong’s locations, which follow the same recipes and halal procedures. Warong currently has locations at TTP, Rundle Place, Marion, Findon, Parkside and Morphett Vale.

POV: You went to Warong for your usual… and got talked into trying something new 😂🍜

We normally skip the deep-fried snacks, but @warong.au invited us to try.... it wasn't bad. The satay chicken didn't take much convincing 👀🔥

🍢 Satay chicken — smoky, saucy and full of flavour
🍜 Crispy noodles — our first time trying them! Love crispy noodles ... although a tad salty for our palate.
🦐 Seafood laksa — This one never misses. 🙌
🍛Roti with curry

So yes… we may have strayed from our usual order, but the seafood laksa brought us right back to our comfort zone 😂
