Shout out to @warontheshore for the killer flier by @warontheshore

Our primo Enrique is FREE!!!! Our family wants to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the outpouring of love and support you’ve shown for our primo, Kique. With the help of you, and the legal team representing him, his petition for habeas corpus was approved and he can hug his children again. This is a huge step in a journey to keeping him here with us PERMANENTLY. We gathered yesterday as a family for the first time since before his detainment.

This is such a blessing and an important reminder of how important your support is. Whatever time, resources, and energy you put back into your community is an important part of dismantling and fighting the status quo. Thank you all for existing and for helping us put a family back together. by @warontheshore

Josh and I got to see Sweeping Promises at Austin Psych Fest in 2021, after Hunger for a Way Out had been one of our Covid staples. Sharing a stage with two groups we truly love is so exciting! Can’t wait to see y’all there! by @warontheshore

Every single day I fall deeper and deeper in love with you til it’s the only thing that’s left of me. Watching you grow as a person year by year ,and our love evolve has been everything I hoped it would be. The world is a beautiful place because you are in it. Happy Birthday, Melissa Travieso ❤️‍🔥 I don’t think I’ll ever be able to put into words how special of a celebration today is. I assume at some point the best way for you to understand it would be for me to just explode like a piñata full of candy. by @warontheshore

The family and I just wanted to take a moment to share with everyone what we were able to accomplish for Enrique. Our family is without words at the selflessness of our community. Our entire benefit was organized within less than a week and the outpouring of immediate support was STAGGERING. I love you all for giving us your time, hard earned money, and bodies.

Between entry, snacks, raffle, the gofundme link, and direct donation we raised approximately $2,700.

A significant amount that went towards his legal representation and petition for a writ of habeas corpus. Because of you his children have a fighting chance at getting their father back. We still have more work to do. But this has given our family hope. Thank you, San Antonio.

As of yesterday (8/7/26) Enrique had his initial court appointment. Despite hours of waiting his appointment was postponed til August 30th. As you can imagine this is heartbreaking news. But we have no intention of giving up our fight for Enrique. He remains optimistic and determined to come home and together we will accomplish that.

Our endless gratitude to The Starlighter for hosting us. To WIMP, Nemesis, Funeral Service and Los Juanos for their inspiring performances. To everyone that contributed by selling art and goods. To everyone who contributed/entered in our raffle, @justinfocusphotography_ and @deathtocontent for their beautiful photography and every single person that danced, slammed and spin-kicked.

🚨LAST MINUTE GIG ALERT🚨

It breaks my heart to have to post this. Our Primo, Enrique is currently being held at a detention center after a calculated traffic stop conducted by SAPD and I.C.E. He’s an amazing man. Neither him, his children, nor his family deserve this. I’m hoping that with with the combined effort of our community and some special performers we can help mitigate his legal fees and give him a stronger fighting chance to return to his partner and his beautiful children. This will be a day show with special performances by:

LOS JUANOS
NEMESIS
FUNERAL SERVICE
W.I.M.P.
