Today we have a signed Ramones Loco Live CD. Not one of my favorite sounding records. We all know the rumors about the production behind this recording. I’m not here to discuss that. I’m here to offer this fine collectible for sale. I had a few of these signed, this is the last one. John, Joey, Marc and CJ all took time to sign in the more visible top portion of the cover. Thank you. CJ was in his stick figure phase, so you get a cute angry guy with his signature.

Las Vegas.

Once @seema_jay and I got there, we realized this trip was our first one without friends or family. Oh no, what would we do? So fun. We did things we wanted on our own schedule. Sleep in ? Yup. Explore this ? Yup. This restaurant ? Yup. You get it. From the first class food experience at @primalsteakhouse to the night at the big rock show, to the calm mornings at the Bellagio pool, this trip was an A+++.

Our traveling luck was on point on this trip. Social Distortion scrubbed the show prior to Vegas and the two shows immediately following. Weather was perfect and the rains that brought flash flooding didn’t begin til we were flying home.

Thanks Vegas. We’ll be back. Next time we will rent that car and go into the dessert.

We ALL have our favorite people. The folks that are valuable to us for different reasons. @jonsnodgrass is one of these people for me. Funny, witty, talented, always with multiple oars in the water; he keeps me on my toes. When he offers a tour, I jump. When he offers a tour with @chadprice_ , I jump higher.

Rolling thru the Northeast is a homecoming for me and catching up with friends and family is always needed.

Warren’s Punk Rock Flea Market is rolling !! Here we are with more early Fall merch perfect for ALL the collectors out there. You know who you are.

This End Of The Century CD is kinda hard to let go of. I think it’s more about how the signatures look than for any sentimental reasons. It’s signed boldly in blue sharpie by Johnny, Joey, Dee Dee and Marc. The blue signatures look great and really pop against ALL the red. I recall having the CD for years before asking the band to sign it. That was at the behest of John, who informed me early that the band was heading into retirement shortly. “Get as much stuff signed now as you can before we retire”, he told me. I missed Dee Dee in LA at the last show, so I thought this, and other pieces, would never get completed. Fortunately, The Remains started doing shows and I was privileged to TM them. Dee Dee was in a better place by then, more relaxed and with Barbara ( who calmed him ☺️ ), so he was accommodating when I brought my items to a rehearsal one night. Took his time signing things from what I remember.

******UPDATE: ITEM SOLD !!!***** Hey Punks!!!

Warren’s Punk Rock Flea Market has been dormant for a bit. Mucho lo siento. Here we are back with some early Fall merch. Pulled from the depths of our basement is this signed 8x10 of the Ramones 2nd and 4th drummer, Mr. Marc Bell of Brooklyn, NY. Signed in 2002, which was right at the end of my time working with him, Marc hadn’t yet begun to include the wavy, decorative line under his signature that is often found with his autograph these days. I’d love to know what a handwriting analysis would say about that inclusion.

Also included in this lot is a promotional drug prescription pad for #markyramoneandtheintruders 2nd album, The Answer To Your Problems ?

Remembering a friend gone 22 years today. I met John when I was in my early twenties. Not long after that, he asked me to work for the Ramones and my journey was changed. Everything that I have in my life, other than family, can be traced back to my time with the Ramones.

Thank you John for 21 years of friendship. The laughs, the experiences, the kindness, all the brotherly advice will never be forgotten.

I have lived a very full and fortunate life. I am grateful for that every day. The life that I live now is full of wonderful friends and tremendous memories. It’s all because John befriended this fan. I sometimes think how different it would be had I never met him. That’s not an outcome that can compare to what I have.

Three days with Kepi and BFace turned into three more days with Kepi and BFace at @buddiesfest in Tillsonburg, Ontario, Canada. Border crossings aside, this Fest lived up to its name. A true gathering of Buddies ALL with connections to Jon Snodgrass. ALL ( with three different sets over two nights in the 80 cap Paddy’s Underground with both Chad Price and Scott Reynolds 😀 Surreal ), Chixdiggit!, Wheatus, Scott Reynolds, Ben Nichols, Cory Branan, Drag The River, Mikey Erg, Doc Hopper, Ultrabomb, Tommy Stinson ( and his band Little Venom……hell yeah !! ) were some of the highlights. Favorite new live bands were @theantiqueens and @the_mcbains , who we will see again at Moms in Youngstown, Ohio in October.

Tillsonburg, a bit Southeast of Toronto, is a short drive from Detroit thru some of Ontario’s most luscious farm land. Small festivals like Buddies have such a cool, no rock star vibe, but need serious fan support to survive and grow. Keep it on your calendar for next year. Huge thanks to Ben @wwfdad for running an enjoyable Fest and keeping it together thru tornado warnings, monsoons and floods.

Three days with @kepighoulie and @bface.art Both are known for their lengthy musical resumes and contributions to the punk community. Not to be overlooked is their outsider art that has a distinctive punk aesthetic. Come for the music. Buy some art.

Some friends came out and played the role of guest star to add to the party. Three cheers for Mikey and Nikki.

We were waiting for @stoked_for_the_summer since it was announced in February. What do folks say ? The bad times seem to last forever and the good times go by in a blink. Well, that’s the Stoked weekend. Asbury Park is a cool, small and lovable beach community. Art shops, coffee spots, legendary deli’s, neat thrifting spots and, of course, solid Jersey pizza. We love being there and on the beach.

The Bouncing Souls have surrounded themselves with a circle of solid, kind and welcoming people. Musicians, artists, tattooists, photographers, brewers, distillers and regular folks like Seema and I. We are grateful to @bryan_kienlen, and all the Souls, for welcoming us into their circle and treating us like one of their own. It’s nothing less than you’d expect from people of their quality. Thanks for the beer, Bryan !! Special thanks to @kyleoneil and @handsome_harmon1988 for the GL.

The Stoked weekend in Jersey equals PRB in positive vibes. The village of friends that convened in Asbury Park was vast. It grew as the weekend progressed and we met more like minded folks. All bonded by the music and the Souls. Your vibe is your tribe.

Cleveland by bike.

It’s a “tale of two cities”. Cleveland is very bike friendly and is great for scenic vistas, wall murals and well maintained bike paths. It also requires sharp street-smarts for urban riding due to a car-centric infrastructure and varying road conditions. Biking Cleveland keeps you on your toes while still being fun.

On this day in 2002 we lost thee most influential punk rock bassist. The Ramones primary lyricist and composer, Dee Dee was the most eccentric, entertaining, unpredictable, prolific, tormented, talented, deranged, and creative person I have ever met.

He enjoyed looking at himself in the mirror. I think I took this photo in Europe, mid 80’s. 🤷‍♂️
