Here’s a throw back to @desmondkannemeyer and I writing our latest single “Angel Dust” way back in March 2024.

Des has always been such an amazing friend and musical mentor to me, bouncing ideas back and forth, feeding off each others energy until we find the perfect harmony. I’ll never forget our writing sessions together, they were some of my most fundamental sessions, showing me how we could weave these sonic tapestries and have immense amounts of fun while being creative.

This photo was taken on my first trip back to Cape Town after Ines and I had moved to Amsterdam. The trip was
filled with many mixed emotions but this session was a standout as it brought me right back to our Milner Manor days, as if no time had escaped us.

We’re currently back in town and I’m very grateful to be back on African soil once more visiting over the next few weeks.
It’s been a reminder that the world can be beautiful and that one should cherish those you hold closest.

“Angel Dust” is up over on @bandcamp from today. Tell your friends (you love them)

Warren @warrentfisher is a musician and producer from Cape Town, making post-wave and post-punk music.

He started playing drums at 16 and spent years playing in several bands, eventually touring Europe for the first time. In 2014, he picked up the guitar and began playing garage rock, which eventually led him to explore and develop the post-punk sound, which he still enjoys till today.

Now living in Amsterdam and active in two bands, Warren writes music using drums, bass, and guitar—drawing on all his instruments to shape his sound. Inspiration often comes from what he’s listening to, live shows, and his mood. Rather than overthink things, he lets his subconscious guide the process—trusting that things fall into place when he creates intuitively.
