I can’t believe I’m going into my third season being a limited partner of the Atlanta Falcons alongside Arthur M. Blank Greg Beadles Brett Jewkes Warrick Dunn and I’m still in awe of what this opportunity means — not just for me, but for the chance to bring my family along for this journey and be part of an organization built on excellence, both on and off the field.

2004 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year award winner and founder of Warrick Dunn Charities, Warrick Dunn knows firsthand what it means when a community shows up.

After his mother died, people in the community wrapped their arms around Warrick and his family. He never forgot that support. His mother's death and the support of the community helped shape his purpose and inspired him to give other families the same sense of care and possibility.

Today, through Homes for the Holidays, Warrick Dunn Charities helps single parents become homeowners by providing down payment assistance and furnishing their new homes. The charity also supports families through financial education, wellness resources, and grief support.

Warrick believes we all have a part to play in strengthening our communities. When we get involved and show up for one another, we can make the world a better place together.

At last year’s Beloved Community Awards event, Warrick reflected on how this work began and why it has continued to grow.

During his rookie year, Coach Tony Dungy challenged all of the rookies to get involved in their communities. Warrick took that challenge as an opportunity to honor his mother’s legacy, and that decision eventually became Homes for the Holidays.

What started with one program has grown into a larger mission focused on helping families build stability through housing, financial wellness, health, education, and grief support.

Almost three decades later, that commitment is still at the heart of Warrick Dunn Charities: creating opportunities for families to move forward and build stronger futures.
