Came across this Gem while looking for a microphone. I took this photo in Baghdad, Iraq at the beginning of April of 2004. Little could I understand how my life path would drastically change two weeks later.

In the background of this photo is one of the largest mosques in the world (7th I think), and during their celebrations three women entered the mosque wearing suicide vests, and many people lost their lives. The people at the mosque were told that our tanks had fired upon them, and over five thousand people rushed us carrying ceremonial knives/swords and throwing anything and everything that wasn’t nailed down at us. Our Battalion Commander ordered us to hold fire, and we followed his orders. We were overrun by the wave of people, and pushed back to our Forward Operating Base. Somehow none of our soldiers were injured and no other civilian casualties occurred.
Now, somehow we find ourselves here in the U.S. where civilians are being shot down in OUR streets because a Law Enforcement Agency’s personnel felt, felt, F#@KING FELT threatened.

…and I found my microphone by @warrnicorn

Finished the new WARRNICORN single “Digging the Dirt”. What an amazing experience coming into this on my own. Grateful some family members, and a couple of colleagues showed up to help broaden the response on this 11 minute single. Yup, an 11 minute single with no guitars, bass or drums. It will be available on iTunes, Spotify, and YouTube for your listening leisure.

Never in my wildest dreams would I ever imagine recording music, but some things are inevitable, and grateful the journey is always filled with many soundtracks to Life. I’ve tried many paths in my short existence on this Rock, and the arrangement of these two separate E.P.’s is a scene to a much bigger story. Still have more to pull in and share. 💚🖤🤍

Walking into the Garage last night after our 2nd EP release party, a familiar feeling came over me. The feeling is why I started playing music, and to quote Jason Crisp, “I started doing this to entertain myself”, and eventually it grew from the bedroom to the Garage, where the real magic happens. Honored and humbled to be able to play at @antonesrecordshop where that familiar feeling was generated. @exiledeve Mike Buck, @benbuckbeatbox @phlegm_fatale ( by the way thank you for the killer poster @billiebuckposters ) thank y’all for the welcoming feeling, and hosting a wonderful space to share our authentic selves.

Somehow the only way to create magic from madness is to bring together survivors of the game to stand steady against the odds, and bring the world something originally faked…new WARRNICORN EP thrown together in a weekend. Thank y’all so much for all your support, and originality. @del_tres @jcrispy5000 @zodlron @alnico.studio @jaymoeller_ @riot.witch. The last photo is if Sarah and Jebidiah
