Japan is obviously a beautiful country. Theres a shrine and a temple on every street corner, right next to a dense urban sprall that somehow is able to blend urban living with the beauty of Japan's wilderness. But fo me, Japan is beautiful for ankther reason.

My first few hours in Japan were an absolute disaster. It started out hard. My flight into Haneda got delayed, and I ended up missing a connecting flight to Nagasaki. I struggled to get my ESIM working at the airport and was stuck using whatever free Wifi I could find to get around. Somehow I ended up in the busiest train station in the city during one of the busiest times of the year. I was lost, I barely spoke the language, and honestly felt like just finding the soonest flight back to the states.

Thats when one disgruntled train worker (who was rightfully annoyed with me) decided to step up and point out exactly what I needed to do, and where I needed to go. From there, another conductor helped me find my platform, and a worker helped me load my bag and find my seat. It just kept cascading on and on. They say the Japanese people have a culture of absolute politeness at any cost. Well I'm here to say that is an absolute understatement. They remind me of the kindness and respect I found during my time in Kentucky. Where everyone from every walk of life would be willing to step up and help.

So with all the beauty I witnessed in Japan, what I'll remember the most is how kind the people were to a total Gaijin. Thank you Japan. Every moment I spent with your people was breath taking. I'll be sure to stop by again, alot wiser thanks to the kindness you showed me.

This trip has been a pipe dream of mine for years now. I'd never thought I'd be able to make it this far in my life. That I could feasibly be able to travel internationally. Well, on a rainy night in September, I did it. I made a teenager's dream a reality. I may have been too late to see it all, but I still made it to the site of the Unicorn.

Am I sad that I missed out on the full experience? That I'll never be able to see the full picture? Of course I am. Am I happy that atleast got to see a piece of Gundam history with my own eyes?

Damn right I am.

Here's to the RX-0 Unicron Gundam. We'll always love you. And to anyone who needs to hear it, don't give up that dream. You can make it your reality. by @warwolf138

Hearing about the Hida-Furukawa Fox Wedding Festival is what made me pull the trigger on this trip. I had very high expectations for it, and they were blown out of the water. Such a beautiful blending of tradition and community. You could see everyone involved had a deep love for what they were doing. An absolutely breathtaking festival.

Also, congrats to the bride and groom. What a way to start off a marriage!
