Summer may be in full swing, but program faculty are still hard at work... or so this photo might have you believe.😄

Just kidding! We couldn’t resist showing off the amazing @funko Pop versions of Tomi Toler, Rachael Bradshaw, and Erin Linnenbringer that the Class of 2026 created!

We’re still smiling about these thoughtful (and surprisingly accurate!) mini-me masterpieces. #summerfun by @washugcprogram

Last week, the inaugural PRIME (Pre-college Immersive-training Medical Experience) Program brought students from McCluer High School to Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis for a week of hands-on learning and career exploration. Geneticists, genetic counselors, genetic counseling students, genetics nurses, and dietitians from WashU and SLU teamed up to introduce students to the exciting and diverse world of Medical Genetics through interactive activities, real-world case discussions, and immersive learning experiences. The genetics programming was coordinated through the Program in Genetic Counseling and made possible by the enthusiasm and expertise of 15 providers and students who volunteered their time throughout the week. We loved sharing what makes this field so rewarding and hope this experience sparked curiosity, inspired future careers, and gave students a glimpse into the many possibilities within genetics and healthcare. 🧬✨ by @washugcprogram
