Bed 1 & 2

These two little pocket rocket bedrooms are the first of 5 in the house. They are the from the original bungalow, of which we kept the existing shiplap boarding and bagged concrete.

We (@zyenorrisbuilding) did remove Bed 2’s wardrobe and donated it to the master bedroom next door. This meant that I needed to come up with a way to ensure all guests had somewhere to store their belongings. This new design has cupboards on either side for hanging and drawers in the bedsides which are all attached to the bedhead.

This brings me to my next problem - originally I wanted to put some beautiful soft lush Roman blinds, but…… neither bedrooms had windows in the center of the room - 🙃 - so…. With @jan_murphy_designs’s help, we went with a sheer stripe textured roller, and blockout curtains that are weighted in the bottom. This means that they sit on top of the 100mm deep bedhead to give a complete blockout effect, and ALSO, hides the fact that there is more wall space next to the cupboard on one side.

I didn’t want either of the rooms to draw your eyes attention too much as you walk down the hall, so the colour palette in both spaces are the same, just with a glimpse of colour in the framework of the art (@woodygphoto) and the textures of the bed linen.

I hope you enjoy!

PATTERN CARPETS ARE BACK funner than before, but I personally need to find the florals. Where can I find them!? I can’t wait to create passion projects for the sake of creating beautiful fun spaces! by @watsn____
