Happy National Coaches Day to the people who make WAVE what it is. 💙

Our coaches are so much more than the ones standing on the sideline. They’re mentors, motivators, role models, hype people, and sometimes the reason our athletes are laughing through the toughest practices. 😂

They push our athletes to work harder, believe in themselves, and become better, not just as athletes, but as teammates and people. They celebrate the big wins, help us learn from the tough losses, and somehow make even the longest days a whole lot more fun.

Our coaches help shape the culture, community, and heart of WAVE. We’re so grateful for the time, energy, passion, and love they pour into our athletes every single day.

To all of our incredible WAVE coaches: thank you for everything you do. We wouldn’t be WAVE without you.

What do coaches see when you’re not in the play? 👀

In this episode of Canvas with Cole, we’re talking about the intangibles that matter in recruiting: how you support your teammates, respond to coaching, carry yourself on the bench, and represent yourself beyond the court.

As our @waveboysvb head into their first week of SoCal Cup, Cole shares an important reminder: your play is only part of the picture. Your attitude, effort, and character help coaches understand the teammate they’d be bringing into their program.

Every opportunity to represent WAVE is an opportunity to show who you are. 🌊
