Happy Tuesday! I realized I never officially released my set supporting Elderbrook at the FVDED in the Park Afterparty … so here it is!⁣
⁣
Every set pushes me a little more artistically, and with the honour of opening for such an epic headliner I really went in on the challenge to find some really special supporting tracks that really fit the vibe. A little slowed down, deep, vibey and emotional with still a jungle essence ✨ is what I had in mind, and after playing around and experimenting for a while each track felt really good, and was chosen with real intention. ⁣

When it came to the night of the show, it could not have felt better to be in charge of the energy rising, and the seeing everyone connecting to each song was on another level of bliss. What a night!! 🪩 ⁣

Hi friends! 👋🏼 I’ve started a new mix series called ‘ Earth Sessions ‘, where we dive into some slower tempo beats that are more organic, deep and spiritual in nature. The first set is up now on Youtube!

Originally this set was intended to be played at Burning Man this year - before an intense dust storm brought us some other plans. Even still, I wanted to find a way to still honour this little creation and give it a place to rest and be enjoyed. Then the idea came to mind - why not record it in the special place I feel so blessed to call my home? 🌲✨

While the mixes in this series are quite a bit different my energetic club sets, the nature here on Vancouver Island has gotten me in touch with a deeper, more earthy side of life that I’ve greatly enjoyed softening into, and this music has been inspired by.

Hope you enjoy, and it brings a little extra magic into your day or night!

POV: Its 7am Friday morning at Burning Man and it just dumped rain for the last few hours… so you take shelter in a porta-potty for a minute and document your thoughts on everything so far. 😆

I wont say it was the easiest Burn for me this year, but it certainly was beyond beautiful. Things broke, tents flooded, and there was always seemingly something to manage or fix. But thats also just how things go sometimes, especially when you send yourself into the desert where dust storms rage, temperatures change drastically and weather patterns come rolling through without much warning.

That all said, I really do believe that going to places like this, working to hold the fort with your friends, and making it through the other side together makes us not only physically stronger, but also stronger in the soul. ༄ Sharing laughs about the ridiculousness of it all is a very niche type of bonding experience, and usually makes for some really good memories.

There were so many highs of this Burn and I am so grateful. But (as said in the video) once that realization really landed - that every single moment was entirely and beautifully part of the Burn - every breath, step and dance was FOR us in some sort of way - it made all the craziness feel more like a dance, and every moment feel more significant and special.

Like that famous quote “you can’t stop the waves but you can learn how to swim!”, this was very much THAT year for me. It was so much fun and brutally beautiful - and honestly I’ll always be down for that. 🤲🏼

Ahh… Burning Man does it again. 🤍 So grateful to have spent another year playing in the dust. Will share more about my experience in the next coming days, but for now - here are some of my personal highlights, beautiful moments, and people I hold close to my heart.

Year 2/25+ done… already getting ready to return home again next year. The magic of the playa is so so real… In dust we trust .🌪️ by @wavereport_

Samsara 🤍 wowowowww you were so special. What a treat was it was to return another year and play at a festival that truly feels like home. We had a cute 6pm dancefloor this time round, and I couldn’t have asked for better people all around to share it with.

So grateful to @saturnasound and the whole @wildlifedivision crew, it’s been a treat to see this festival grow into what it is now since its conception. Not only was it so fun to DJ again, but amazing to see how it’s been evolving over the years and the beautiful people and incredible artists it attracts from all over the world. Its a place to observe surreal beauty 🌲✨, deepen friendships and absolutely PARTY. 🪩🙌🏼

My cup of gratitude has been overfilled and I cant wait to see what next year brings. IYKYK 💕

Returning to the Playa with a lot of excitement and fire in my heart. ❤️‍🔥

Last year completely shattered my idea of what was possible to create, leaving me with so much inspiration. It stretched my capacity to feel so many emotions at once, and to really recognize the beauty in the impermanence of all things. 🤍 The growth through all the experiences last year was immense, and I am truly just so grateful. As cliché as it sounds, it really is a place where anything can happen, and a portal for attracting everything that’s already trying to find its way to you. 💫

Very excited to return home )’(, reflect on all that’s happened since last year, and set my sights on new beginnings.

I’m equally excited and honoured to be playing 3 (+ ? ;) ) sets this year with some really epic camps & collectives:

Feeling honoured and beyond words to be living a reality that was once truly a dream. My gratitude for @youplusoneca runs deep (as I’m sure it does for many of you) ❤️‍🔥, and to be playing alongside an artist who’s influenced so much of my music trajectory is a true pinch-me moment. ✨ I’m currently deep in prep - hand-selecting all the heat and going to be playing only the cream of the crop. 🔥🎵

hold out for the friends that choose to see past the differences. The ones who know what its like to have loved and lost, and then decide to keep loving anyway. The ones who walk through the fire to face and meet new facets of their being over and over again… because of the gold that unknowingly, but assuredly waits on the other side. The ones that talk about love and true peace - and walk with actions that align with those words, both in the shadows and the light. And most importantly, the ones who realize what a precious and rare gift it is to even be alive - who aren’t scared to hold each other close and remind ourselves of that every day.

♡ Grateful to start understanding what true resonance feels like these days. ༄
