The Wayland Brew Team loves working with hops - selecting the best lots possible and working on unique combinations and techniques to coax the best, most flavorful notes out of them to create fun and exciting beers.

We’ve been kicking around a concept for a beer for a while. One that leans on one of our favorite, but a lesser used, hop varietal: Columbus. We made this slightly stronger hazy IPA with heavy doses of our selected Citra and Strata hops, then layered in some thoughtfully chosen, citrus-forward
Columbus from our friends at Yakima Chief Hops.

Spectra is the result of this. An extra hazy, extra pale IPA landing at 7.0% with huge aromas and flavors of candied citrus, strawberry, tropical fruit and a little background note of dank ganja (does not contain, though).

We’re very excited to share this beer and feel that it is one of the most fun hazy beers that we’ve made in a while. Available this week on tap, and in these sweet cans to-go, at both locations. Enjoy! 🍻 by @waylandbrewing
