I first studied painting with noted artist/illustrator Rafael DeSoto in Bellport, Long Island, NY. Later I attended the SVA and VCU.

Chatter, chatter, and more chatter. It can fill an entire room if you let it.

Lost in thought; it takes little to ponder.

Another day; starts the same way; dress, food, nature. One step at a time.

Time to start posting another sketchbook!

My son, Steven, gave me a small Italian sketchbook, 6 x 8", a couple of years ago. I called it my Airport Sketchbook and drew in it whenever I traveled, whether I was in an airport or on a plane. I only used graphite (pencil) so as not to make a mess. On the first page, I wrote, "Stolen glances, passing observations." The sketches were of people in the airport; that I made a quick look at and, drew the rest from my imagination. I did not stare at them or spend any time studying them. I started the book early in 2024 and finished end of 2025.
