Knievel and The Vors combine to to take fans on an epic odyssey of sonic enjoyment this month when they share the stage at The Union Hotel.

For one night only (due to ticket sales), audience members will be treated to an auditory buffet of courteous indie chaos. The naive rendering above only tells part of the story of what unexpected delights will be in store for participants.

Excited to be playing a support gig for Toby Martin as part of his residency at The Butchers Brew in Dulwich Hill. The gig will be acoustic in nature but certainly won’t turn it’s back on the mid-tempo mayhem that Knievel is famous for. Toby and I have been on many sonic excursions over the years. The photo shows us in the back yard of Jeff Porcaro’s studio in Nth Hollywood for Youth Group recording with the legendary Carole Kaye.
Gig is Monday 15 June, Butchers Brew Bar
499 Marrickville Road, Dulwich Hill.

⭐️ TOBY MARTIN is a singer, songwriter & frontman of the beloved indie rock band Youth Group. Over the course of nine albums, Toby has established himself as one of Australia’s most distinctive & adventurous songwriters, combining a plaintive melodic sensibility with finely observed & deeply felt lyrics. Recent records Songs From Northam Avenue & I Felt the Valley Lifting set detailed stories to a backdrop provided by musicians from different cultural backgrounds. His most recent records are 2024’s Song Khúc Lượn Bay (Two Sounds Gliding) a collaboration with Vietnamese-Australian musician Dang Lan & the 2025 album from Youth Group Big Whoop (which was feature album on ABC’s Double J). He is also a co-songwriter & collaborator on the new Uncle Roger Knox record Buluunarbi & the Old North Star. Toby has won an ARIA & toured the world, including performing at Coachella, Reading & Leeds Festival, Laneway & Splendour in the Grass.
This special intimate June residency will see Toby bring it all back home (to Dulwich Hill). He will play a different album from his back catalogue every week in stripped back solo mode (with a few choice cameos) plus some other deep cuts, new songs & select covers.
