Described as “among the most uniquely gifted guitarists on the NYC improv scene” (NYC Jazz Record) and “one of the most impressive jazz players of his generation” (Bill Kirchner), he is committed to creating engaging storytelling, thoughtful interplay, and unique sonic environments that go beyond the traditional functions of the guitar. Tom Oren is an Israeli pianist, composer, and bandleader based in New York. In 2018, he won the prestigious Thelonious Monk (now Herbie Hancock) International Jazz Piano Competition, earning international recognition. He is currently touring with Terence Blanchard as a member of Blanchard’s celebrated E-Collective, and as part of the Miles Davis & John Coltrane Centennial project, a collaboration between Blanchard and Ravi Coltrane celebrating the enduring legacies of two of jazz’s most influential figures. WAYNE TUCKER is a New York-based trumpeter, vocalist, composer, and bandleader whose work blends jazz, soul, gospel, funk, R&B, and singer-songwriter traditions. He has performed and recorded with artists including Taylor Swift, Jay-Z, the Roots, Elvis Costello, and Kurt Elling while leading his own group, Wayne Tucker and The Bad Mothas. It’s been so hard to keep this is a secret!I’m really delighted to announce that the docu-short about my father, AMERICAN MOMENTS, will be premiering at @newportfilm in partnership with @newportjazzfest on July 30th! Jim Spione began working on this film while my father was still alive, and it includes beautiful footage of him reminiscing about his career while at the end of his life. Dad tells the stories behind a lot of his iconic images and there is tender footage of him inside our home up in Katonah, NY. I wrote the score, and included my crew of friends with musical contributions from @k_magic_keys, @yagovazquezpiano, @_al_mog_, @wayneeverest, @muchgrey, @ben_silashi, Phil McNeal and Emile Menasche. The whole experience has been emotional, and I’m so proud of how Jim and I captured my dad’s energy both in picture and sound. The event in Newport will include a screening of the film and a Q&A with me and Jim, moderated by the legendary @natesmithdrums. My quartet will also play a short set (Kevin Bernstein on keys, Mary Kenney on bass, and Ben Silashi on drums), and I’ve curated a nice show of my dad’s visual art. The whole thing is happening at Rough Point, the historic home of Doris Duke, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean — AND the art exhibit will at be the solarium inside the mansion, which is normally closed to event goers but will be open for this special event! I’m really proud that we are launching this film in such epic fashion to celebrate my father. So come one come all for what is sure to be a truly unforgettable evening. by @wayneeverest

Welcome Wayne Tucker to the Evno family!! Wayne Tucker is a trumpeter, composer, arranger, violinist, vocalist, actor and model based in New York City. He has released 5 albums under his name and performs regularly with his band, The Bad Mothas in New York City. Wayne has toured and recorded with a diverse array of notables such as jazz musicians Kurt Elling, Dee Dee Bridgewater and Cyrille Aimée; pop acts Taylor Swift, David Crosby, Elvis Costello; r&b singers Ne-Yo and Gabriel Garzon-Montano; hip hop artists Jidenna and Ryan Leslie; and with the rock band Brass Against. This diversity is represented in The Bad Mothas energetic sound where the American Songbook gets a welcome update, including selections by Michael Jackson or Earth Wind & Fire. The group was featured in the New York Times for its steady schedule of street performances during the 2020 shutdown, representatives of New York City’s infamous grit.Wayne continues to maintain a dedicated presence in the small clubs of New York City alongside a career which makes occasional forays into venues like Madison Square Garden, The Hollywood Bowl, and The Tonight Show, to name a few. As an actor/model he has been featured in ads and commercials for companies like Dove, Mastercard, Bonobos and GMC, and appeared on television shows like Succession and Blacklist.
