1978 Chevrolet C 10: “Lizzy”

A reminder that before I moved to the C10 I was a die hard Jeep guy. I owned a CJ5, CJ7, YJ, TJ and the last one pictured a JK. I’ve owned jeeps off and on since 1982. Why switch? I’ve always had a thing about being off road. With that comes a lot more breakage. With age comes a bit of wisdom and caution now. The C10 was always in the back of my mind, it was time to make the switch. But doesn’t Soda Pop look good off road. by @waynegood_n

I have a feeling that this little red pick up has seen a dirt road or two in its 48 year history. Plus windmills are my fav. #c10 #backroad_visions #squarebody

Front end Friday. She’s a bow tie diva. Lots of unseen work going on this week, if the weather cooperates we will go out to Ford’s Garage on Sunday. #c10nation #squarebodynation by @waynegood_n

Not all repairs get to be seen. Replacing 48 year old shift linkage in the 78 this morning. She wouldn’t go into park without a bit of a struggle so, out with old. My wife checks on me every couple of hours. 😂 by @waynegood_n

I’ve been waiting for the clear coat to cure on Lizzy before a deep wax, but couldn’t wait for some pics, so PH neutral wash and dry. Golden hour at Breckenridge Park. #c10 #c10trucks #squarebody #1978chevy by @waynegood_n

Lots of clean up going on in the engine bay. The 454 fits snug near the fire wall of the 78. Lazy painter = days of overspray cleaning. But the chrome is tasteful. #c10 #c10trucks #454bigblock #c10nation #dfwcars by @waynegood_n
