LONG POST ALERT 🚨

Opportunity- a favorable juncture of circumstances, a good chance for advancement, or a break

On April 18th I got my opportunity to play drums for @theacademyismusic The circumstances weren’t right but I knew I had to seize the moment. First of all, Butcher I hope you feel better, and I’ll see you soon.
Second, thank you to @theacademyismusic for trusting me enough to make TWO SHOWS happen. This moment has been 10 plus years in the making. Long nights, long days, lots of tears, contemplating if this is music thing is really going to work, and in this moment, if it was only for this weekend, it was real. Thank you to the entire team for @theacademyismusic You all had my back through this entire process. Also very big thank you to @tylercommon. I received a phone call two months ago and said yes because i wanted to get my foot in the door. I think I accomplished that mission.I couldn’t be more grateful for opportunity, for this moment.

The Academy Is… takes on Cracker Barrel. We emerged victorious, thanks to our friend Duane Hewins Jr. (@wayneondrums1) for saving the day.

Two shows we will NEVER forget. Florida, we love you. 💚

Fear not, @thebutchertai will return to the drum throne this weekend in Texas. We can’t wait to see you all and get back on the road in just a few days.

Funniest part… Duane’s actually our truck driver and just casually an incredible drummer. Total right place, right time, couldn’t have scripted it better. 💚 by @wayneondrums1
