Hey, I’m Gorgonzola! I’m a 2-year-old black brindle mixed breed girl, and while I might be a little shy when we first meet, I promise my affectionate and friendly nature will shine through once I get to know you. At 33 pounds, I’m the perfect medium-sized companion — already spayed and ready for my forever home. With a little patience and kindness, I’ll show you just how loyal and loving I can be. Come say hello and let’s start building our friendship! by @wcanimalcenter

Dasher’s Delivery is BACK! Now through December 12, Williamson County Animal Center is collecting NEW stuffed animals for young patients at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital Vanderbilt at Williamson Medical Center.

These cuddly companions do more than bring smiles. They help ease anxiety, provide comfort during medical procedures, and give children something soft to hold onto during a stressful time.

We are collecting NEW stuffed animals ONLY, please, for the health and safety of the children. Small and medium sizes are preferred.

Donations can be dropped off inside WCAC's Adoption entrance during public hours or left on our front porch after hours

Let's make Dasher's Delivery one to remember! by @wcanimalcenter

Update: Returned to owner
Do you recognize this husky? This wanderer was found in the 300 block of Ledgelawn Ct. in Franklin and is hoping someone recognizes them!

If this is your dog, or you know who they belong to, please call us at (615) 790-5590 x13400. Let’s get this pup back home! by @wcanimalcenter

It’s #MeowMonday, and Orchid is here to remind you that affection is wonderful, but personal space is a love language, too. At 6½, she enjoys indoor lounging, outdoor adventures, and plenty of attention—as long as she gets a say in the matter. She’s lived with respectful dogs and coexisted with other cats, though she may have a few opinions about certain individuals. Stop by Tuesday to meet Orchid in person! by @wcanimalcenter

Well, somebody’s out here taking an unscheduled autumn road trip! This handsome leaf-peeper was found wandering around Hwy 100 and Hwy 96 in Williamson County. We’re all for enjoying the fall scenery, but we’re pretty sure his family didn’t approve this little excursion.
If you recognize this traveling gentleman or know who’s missing him, give us a call. Let’s get this fall foliage enthusiast back where he belongs!

Frankie (6 months) may be trying to tell us something… we think he likes babies! A visiting family was kind enough to share their adorable video with us in hopes of helping Frankie find a home of his own. They would have happily adopted him themselves, but their kitty at home is sadly receiving hospice care, so it just wasn’t the right time to add another feline to the family. We’re grateful they took the time to share a little glimpse of Frankie with us. Now we’re hoping the right family will see it, fall in love, and give this little guy the happily-ever-after he deserves! Stop by to meet our adoptable pets today! We are open from 10am-6pm. by @wcanimalcenter

Every adoption is a new beginning, and we couldn’t be happier for all the pets who are heading home with families of their own.

A special thanks to Darrell Waltrip Subaru for sponsoring so many of these adoptions throughout Pawctober and helping make new beginnings possible!

Wishing all our adopters and their new family members many happy years together. Happy Gotcha Day! by @wcanimalcenter

A big thank-you to Girl Scout Troop 1504 for inviting WCAC to be part of their community Trunk or Treat last night! Our Humane Educator Shannon had a wonderful time joining in the Halloween fun, meeting families and helping spread the word about kindness and compassion for animals.

There’s nothing scarier than being lost and not knowing how to get home! This pup was found near Fair Street in Franklin, and unfortunately, there’s no ID tag or microchip to help us reunite them with their family.

A microchip and/or ID tag could have made this a much happier Halloween tale, with this little trick-or-treater already back home where they belong!

Recognize this dog? Please give us a call at (615) 790-5590 x13400. We are open until 3pm today. Let’s make sure this Halloween has a happy ending! by @wcanimalcenter

HOLY CATNIP, BATMAN! There's a new Caped Crusader in town, and he's fighting crime one cuddle at a time!

POW! BAM! PURRRR! Meet MAX, aka CATMAN! At 5 years old, this feline superhero has mastered the art of winning hearts! By day, he's an ordinary shelter cat. By night...well, he's still an ordinary shelter cat, but one with EXTRAORDINARY powers of affection! Max LOVES people, is fantastic with kids, and has a secret weapon capable of melting even the coldest villain's heart: UNLIMITED SNUGGLES!

Will Catman escape the clutches of the shelter and find his forever Batcave? Will a lucky family answer the call? TUNE IN TOMORROW! SAME CAT TIME! SAME CAT CHANNEL! Or better yet, skip the cliffhanger and adopt Max at Williamson County Animal Center! by @wcanimalcenter

I PUT A SPELL ON YOU… AND NOW YOU'RE MINE!

Well, that's what these bewitching cats and dogs are hoping, anyway! They've dusted off their finest Halloween costumes, practiced their most enchanting expressions, and are ready to work a little Hocus Pocus on your heart! Stop by Williamson County Animal Center this Saturday (Halloween!) from 11 a.m.–3 p.m. for ALL TREATS and NO TRICKS… except from the dogs who know how to sit and shake!

And before the clock strikes midnight and the magic disappears, don't forget that Halloween is the LAST DAY of PAWCTOBER! Thanks to Darrell Waltrip Subaru, approved adopters will have one final chance to draw from our magical pumpkin to see if their adoption fee will be sponsored! No potions, spells, or black flame candles required. Just a little luck and a whole lot of love!

Come for the costumes. Fall under their spell. Leave with a new best friend! by @wcanimalcenter
