🎶 WHAT IS UAR? 🎶

Under A Rest A Cappella (UAR) is WCU’s student run, premiere a cappella group, bringing together singers, performers, and music lovers from across campus! From rehearsals, performances and competing in the ICCAs to late night laughs and lifelong friendships, UAR is so much more than just making music.

With the school year just ONE week away, we’re getting ready for another year of music, memories, and moments we won’t forget!

Think UAR could be your next home? Auditions are coming up! Stay tuned for more details ✨ by @wcu_underarest

UAR said goodbye to a very special member this May

For the past three years, Haley has dedicated countless hours to this group, not only as Assistant Music Director and Music Director, but as a friend, mentor, and leader. Her passion, talent, and unwavering commitment have helped shape UAR into what it is today!

We are so grateful for everything you’ve given to this group, and while we’re so sad to see you go, we know you’ll always have a home here and are so excited to see what the future holds for you! Thank you for the memories, the music, and the love you’ve shared with all of us<3

UAR loves you Haley🫶🏻🎶 by @wcu_underarest

As UAR’s ‘25-‘26 year comes to a close, we’ve been reflecting on some of our favorite memories from this season! 🤍

We were so excited to host our annual YOVO concert and incredibly grateful to have @vusupernovas, @hsharmonix , and @villeharmonics join us for such a special night filled with beautiful music and amazing performances.

We also had the opportunity to celebrate our co-music director and only senior, Haley Phares, as she graduated this year. We are so proud of her and grateful for everything she has brought to UAR.

We’re endlessly thankful for the love and support from our community that continues to show up for us at every performance. Your support means the world to us!

Thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s YOVO such a memorable one! ✨ taken in Emilie K. Asplundh Concert Hall by @wcu_underarest
