This group deserved a post of their own from the Palmetto Games 💙

The WCU Recreational Therapy students didn’t just show up—they showed out 👏

Every single one of them traveled roughly 130 miles from Western Carolina to Clemson just to learn more about adaptive sports—and then gave everything they had once they arrived. So many were there both days, assisting across air rifle, swimming, track, and field, and still jumping in for event breakdown and cleanup at the end of each day. From athlete-facing moments to the behind-the-scenes heavy lifting, they showed up ready for anything, and it absolutely did not go unnoticed.

As a proud alum, the WCU RT program is very near and dear to my heart, and seeing these students step up with such passion, professionalism, and heart made me incredibly proud. I have no doubt they are going to make a huge impact on the world through this field and beyond.

Huge thank you to each of these amazing students—you truly made a lasting impact.

More to come about Palmetto Games 2026 soon ❤️ by @wcuchhs
