Our head intern, Cat, got a pretty incredible shoutout from Rep. Justin J. Pearson—and it’s well deserved. 💙Cat has poured her heart into this campaign, registering voters, bringing her friends to the polls, knocking doors, making calls, and reminding all of us that democracy belongs to everyone, especially the next generation.But this isn’t just a Cat appreciation post.It’s a thank you to every young person who has chosen to spend their summer fighting for something bigger than themselves. If I am on your ballot, then so is @brittany4tndp and I will be casting my vote for her to be on the @tndems EC and I hope you will, too. I have had the pleasure of working alongside Brittany for years to rebuild the @wilsondemocrats Wilson County Democratic Party and while much of my work has been visible, Brittany does the quiet, necessary and often thankless work of researching, organizing, recruiting, and implementing - THAT is the work needed on the TNDP EC. Brittany spent time researching best practices from neighboring county parties, relaying those to our Wilson County EC and when it was a good fit for our specific needs, implementing it. In addition, she has brought new, original ideas and is part of the remarkable recruitment effort that has 30+ Democratic candidates on the ballot in Wilson County. And since recruiting, she has been busting tail to get them elected - even while running her own campaign. She has done this so effectively, that Wilson County is now a model for other Democratic parties across the South! But fear not, Davidson, Brittany has been attending Davidson County events for years and is a frequent presence at the Capitol. She is prepared to represent all of District 17 and wants to take Wilson County’s party-building secret sauce statewide. Antioch…my first zip code in Middle Tennessee 18 years ago. My last role at Nashville Public Library as the Southeast Regional Manager…and with your help, your next State Senator. We have spent the past two weeks hitting Antioch hard reaching voters and what we hear time and again is that they haven’t heard from any Senate candidate (or Senator, ahem) in YEARS. No corner of District 17 will go ignored if I’m elected. We cannot flip this seat without Wilson and Davidson working together. Unity. Community. Celebratory margs and epic cheese pulls!
