We have been having some footages and many photos of the Tai Kwun @taikwun.hk Projekt Berlin 2019, that we didn’t have time to edit and post until now. Thanks again to @lutz.henke @visitberlin for organizing the project and of course the invitation. It was a significant time of Hong Kong and it’s important for us to be there in that particular period. We are very grateful to everyone who made it happen. 🙏🏻🙇🏻‍♂️Thanks everyone from the Tai Kwun team who took care of us as well as the technicians who concerned a lot about our safety when we were there. It was a great time with everyone. Hope you all are doing well and we will keep our fingers crossed that we could come back to Hong Kong again one day :DThank you very much to our friends who came visit us, especially those who came with snacks and cookies, making sure we don’t stave during the painting process! Last week we headed to Frankfurt to participate in the Lunar New Year 2025 celebration event. Thank you Vanessa & Celine from @DiscoverHongKong to contact us, inviting us to be part of this wonderful and well-planned event. As you might know we usually paint on big surface of buildings, and because of our detailed contents, we couldn’t paint on small scale. We had the challenge to deliver a painting of us from Berlin to Frankfurt at first perhaps only one of us could join the event. However the minimum size of our painting is preferred as 1 x 2 meter. In the end we came up a solution with the HKTB team that we split the canvases into 100 pieces, so we had a chance to bring them over by train. Same time every guest can take a small piece of WENU art to home as a gift. Thank you very much to Hong Kong Tourism Board for your kindness and support, as well as CX and HKTDC, especially Sky Shek who tried her best to fix the ppt. for us and gave us back the 10 minutes for our original presentation. We were thrilled to have this interactive section with the guests. Everyone was very excited including us. Thank you for your loves and blessings. Our latest puzzle! Who wants to be challenged? If you find the one from last year was too easy for you, you may try this one. It is the same format as our last one (details as below) and the wall was painted in Heidelberg during the @metropolinkurbanartfestival in 2020.If you want to purchase one before Christmas, DM us these days. Recently we were invited to paint a room at the new Upside Down Berlin Museum @upsidedownberlin . Thank you for trusting us and we are happy to be part of this crazy project. Besides our room, there are 20 other upside down rooms to discover. They are located at The Playce in Potsdamer Platz. The first Upside Down museum started in Amsterdam. It’s the first time we did our painting with another color tone. What do you think? And finally we will have our merchandise selling in Berlin. Give us some time and they are coming soon, stay tuned. 14 years ago these days were the first time when the WENU members met each other. Few years later they did their first collaboration project as WENU for the first time in 2013. It happened during the ibug urban art festival in Zwickau, Germany. Finally after 11 years, the documentation was finished. The crew kept the recorded videos for long and couldn’t find time to edit. Before the action started, Thomas from @ibug.art sent a camera to the crew before hand and asked for recording the preparation and process as documentation. The crew made the decision to paint the mural or room under the theme “Stop Spying On Us” and later changed it to “Stand Spy Me” as the final title. That year Edward Snowden leaked classified information from the National Security Agency and charged by the U.S. He has been a Moscow citizen due to such case. Nevertheless, he said “No regrets” after 10 years in exile. The full version of the documentation (17 minutes long) of the WENU’s painting action, preparation for the project plus some irrelevant (:p) videos can be viewed on WENU’s website or Vimeo. Idea and video editing by Friendly : ) and sound provided by Siriusmo. Videos filmed by the WENU members. The last video was a dance performance by our dancer / DJ friend @femdelic Marisa Akeny.Thank you everyone who made such a big effort to put up an amazing project or event, so that we can execute our creative concept with lots of freedom. Working on something, found some video clips documenting about our @kolorcubes action back then in 2017 which were not finished, so finally now it’s completed short before this year end. Thanks again @dustinschenk for organizing the festival and inviting us to go over to Kassel.
