Don’t see Nigeria in the eyes of 3 or 4 tribes. There are over 700 local Governments in Nigeria across 36 states and in EDO state we have 18 local Governments-and we all eat Cotton Seed Soup 😂😂😂

Happy Anniversary Edo State 🎉 … I still remember vividly the day we transitioned from being BENDEL State to EDO state😁. Long Live the Culture 🎉

IT’S MY BIRTHDAY — I CELEBRATE LIFE & MY BIRTHROOT!

Today, I give all glory to OGHENA — the Almighty God, for the precious gift of life and for bringing me this far.

I am IREKPITA DAVID OSHIOLE, a proud son of AYOGWIRI, a great town in Uzairue Kingdom, Etsako West LGA, Edo State.

Today, I don't just celebrate my birthday; I celebrate my BIRTHROOT — the roots that shaped me, the people who came before me, and the heritage I proudly carry.

I celebrate Ayogwiri, a land of history, strength, courage and tradition. According to our local tradition, its name is associated with “Avhi-Ugwiri” — “We do not give birth to vultures.” A powerful reminder of the strength and greatness we believe our people carry.

I am proudly AFEMAI.
I am proudly ETSAKO.
I am proudly UZAIRUE.
I am proudly AYOGWIRI. ❤️

I carry the legacy of hardworking farmers, fearless hunters, wise elders, and people with hearts filled with kindness, love and honesty.

Their story is part of my story. Their legacy is part of my identity.

Today, I am grateful for life, family, growth, lessons, victories, challenges, and God's endless mercy.

I know I didn't come this far by my power. OGHENA has kept me, lifted me and preserved me.

As I add another year, I pray for greater wisdom, strength, favour, open doors, happiness and long life in good health.

May I continue to make my family and my community proud. And may Ayogwiri continue to be proud of me, just as I proudly carry the name wherever I go.

Today, I celebrate WHO I AM, WHERE I COME FROM, AND WHERE I AM GOING.

Happy Birthday to me — IREKPITA DAVID OSHIOLE.

The proud son of Ayogwiri.
A proud son of Uzairue.
A proud son of Etsako.
A proud Afemai son.

AFEMAI, WA MOO!
