What happens when one exceptional cask is placed in the hands of a distillery, a cocktail bar and a kitchen?

Follow a Thomson cask personally selected by the teams at Thomson Whisky, Panacea and Captain’s Bar, interpreted through whisky, cocktails, cuisine and craft.
Enjoy three guided drams, three signature cocktails and three curated food pairings, each revealing a different side of the same remarkable spirit.

The evening will also feature a live barrel deconstruction and reconstruction, live music and an exclusive collaborative bottling to take home.

World Champion.

I’m back to Earth now, the dust has mostly settled.

The support has been unreal. Thank you to each and every person who has reached out in the past few days to show their love, to everyone who has shared the result on their stories, it’s truly humbling and heartwarming.

The event itself was a blast. Learning from some of the most intelligent and kind people in the industry has been inspiring. I have a new vein of passion and determination to push this boat out even further. I’ve made some lifelong friends from all corners of the globe, and gained so many new perspectives.

I am proud of how far I’ve come. I am proud to represent Aotearoa New Zealand, and prove that we can stand up to the rest of the world. I did the mahi, I got the treats. I’m excited for the next chapter.
