Our stance is simple. Art by Artists ONLY. Going forward, all generative AI imagery will be banned and immediately removed from all We F.E.W! Community spaces. (Read the full post on our Facebook group) Art requires a single effort, a molecule of meaningful intention paired with effort borne of the human experience. Generative AI undermines the very essence of what makes art such a critical element of our society. Being an artist requires only one thing, creation. The ability to become an artist transcends all elements of human adversity, even in our darkest moments of compromise, the indomitable nature of the human spirit has led time and time again to the creation of works of art both grandiose and microscopic, but no matter the scale, the human element means that the massive and the minuscule have the same emotional weight and societal value. In its current form, tools like ChatGPT, Grok, Nano Banana and other are fueled by a core similarity, theft. To call yourself an artist requires nothing but the human instinct to share some element of your experience with those around you, to make art in many ways is the method through which our species has evolved a tangible legacy that will outlive us in every imaginable way. Keep art human, keep AI out of it. We F.E.W! - Filmmakers of Eastern Washington. Graphic by @mellowedmedia Logo by @vintage_print_and_neon taken in Spokane, Washington by @we_f.e.w

For sale! 10mm f2.8 Hyper-Wide AF Zero D Laowa lens in Sony E mount $775 One of the widest lenses available for full fame cameras on the market, this incredible optic offers essentially no visible distortion and a fast 2.8 aperture in an impressively compact footprint designed for Sony mirrorless cameras. Lens was only used for quick field testing, and is otherwise new in box with all accessories. Incredible for filmmaking, photography, sports, architecture, really anything you throw at it this lens will handle incredibly I LOVE this lens, and the only reason we are selling it is because our current main camera does not work with this specific model of lens. All proceeds from the sale go to the We F.E.W! (Filmaker of Eastern Washington) Community access camera kit. taken in The Garland Theater by @we_f.e.w
