Make A Tray! Wood Basics class is July 5th. (Ticket 🔗 BIO) In the class you will get an introduction to using wood and machines including the table saw, miter saw and table router. There will be many options available in this workshop to personalize the tray you make!

The trays featured above are a teaching example of two fitted Walnut tray's and a partially assembled section.

About me: I am a wood shop educator, currently managing the Kansas City Art Institute’s Central Shop. Teaching the shop’s Foundation Orientations, giving demos and workshops across all departments. Make A Tray! Wood Basics class is July 5th. (Ticket 🔗 BIO) In the class you will get an introduction to using wood and machines including the table saw, miter saw and table router. Elizabeth will demo how to make a tray with dividers. BONUS! She will show you how to create spline’s (to add strength to the sides) and additional fun details out of wood.

About our Instructor: Elizabeth Derstine is a wood shop educator, currently managing the Kansas City Art Institute’s Central Shop. Teaching the shop’s Foundation Orientations, giving demos and workshops across all departments. Elizabeth has focused her career on educating beginner artists and is dedicated to activating one’s ability to learn and achieving their goals.
