I don’t usually post much, but lately I’ve needed an abundance of God’s love, presence, and reassurance.

This morning, my mom sent me these pictures. She noticed what looked like a cross of light shining on the wall and went looking everywhere to figure out where the image was coming from. She couldn’t find the source.

She sent it to me, and it was exactly what I needed.

I don’t need to explain it or prove what caused it. I know what it meant to me in that moment: His light shows up when you need it most.

Sometimes God reminds us of His presence in ways that are quiet, personal, and perfectly timed. In the middle of uncertainty, He reminds us that we are still held. In the darkness, there is still light. When our strength feels small, His is not.

Today, I’m simply receiving the reminder.

“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” — John 1:5

God, thank You for meeting me where I am. I see You. I trust You. And I receive Your light. by @we_thriveabove

Reconnecting with nature and our food supply

Special thanks to Mrs. Skinner and Mrs. Sawyer of @bradshawchristianofficial for bringing the lovely Master Gardeners Susan and Carol from @ucdavis to educate our 4-H garden club about using compost and wriggly worms to improve your garden and reduce food waste. They were kind enough to bless us with a free worm bed, which I'll be using for my Victory Garden.

Celebrating International Women’s Day Through Sisterhood & Solidarity

On this International Women’s Day, I am reminded of the power of sisterhood—the love, wisdom, and support that have shaped me into the woman I am today. Without it, I wouldn’t have been able to craft this version of myself.

I am deeply grateful for the incredible women who have poured into me, lifted me up, and guided me along this journey. Leslie Taylor, @latifahabdur, Summer Britt, Yanira Guzmán—your encouragement, grace, and belief in me have been invaluable. Thank you for walking beside me.

Today, I pledge my solidarity to walk hand in hand with my fellow sisters who are advancing our communities, uplifting families, and stabilizing this world. Our collective strength is unstoppable, and together, we will continue to break barriers, create opportunities, and ensure that no woman ever walks alone.

Honoring Black History, Shaping Black Futures – A Call to Action for All

As Black History Month comes to a close, today marks a powerful moment of reflection and action. The National Blackout serves as an economic protest against the ongoing dismantling of DEI funding and programs—an attempt to undermine progress, equity, and inclusion.

But history is not just something we remember—it is something we create. Black history is being written in real-time. Every act of civic engagement, every effort to strengthen our communities, and every collective stand for justice is a chapter in the ongoing story of resilience and empowerment.

To our Community: Your engagement matters. Your dollars matter. Your advocacy matters. Let this moment remind us that we are not just honoring history—we are shaping the future.

To our Allies: Standing in solidarity means taking action. Support Black-owned businesses. Speak up in your workplaces and communities. Challenge policies that seek to erase equity efforts. Use your voice, influence, and resources to ensure that progress is not reversed.

Still Glowing. Still Healing. Still Thriving.

Black Girl Glow was everything our souls needed and more. The peace, the warmth, the healing—you could feel it in the air. The room radiated love, laughter, and light. Sis, the energy was unmatched.

We reflected, we released, we recharged. The poetry spoke to our souls, reminding us of our power and purpose. The yoga stretched more than just our bodies—it gave our spirits room to breathe. The conversations, the connections, the quiet moments of self-reflection—all reminders that this glow we carry is sacred.

When Black Womxn come together like this, magic happens. There’s nothing like a space where you’re seen, heard, and held. We came for healing, and we left glowing.

Special shoutout to @sheasbookshelf from @aseatatthetablebooks for creating such a warm and welcoming space where we could truly be, and to @regina.lawless from Bossy & Blissful for bringing the energy, intention, and vibes that made this day unforgettable. This was the definition of community and care.
