It’s coming...

But don’t ask me when. Been working on this for some time now, and it feels like a slow moving work in progress. Sound familiar?

Oh, pressure….There’s nothing like it. Similarly, I think of financial pressure. Maybe it doesn’t feel like enough (or that it will ever get to be “enough”). Maybe things are not where desired.

But what has been going WELL? What has already been done and done WELL?

Pen to page. Script complete. So I’m just going to sit and relish in that.

Attended @tedxutaustin (my first time attending a @tedx_official Ted Talk). So much to unpack. Much appreciation to every speaker so open & vulnerable with their story & leaving us with concrete action steps, such as:

Reese Saliceti from @dulcecustomcakes using cake as a metaphor for combatting perfection.

Josh Babetski (@quixado) mover and shaker behind Austin’s first Major League Soccer Team @austinfc said: “Prove that things should exist by making them exist.”

This quote reminded me that I FORGOT to take a moment to celebrate Wealth I Am being 6 years old as of January 2026.

The Happiest of Happy Belated Birthdays to my other baby! 6 years in the making!

And cheers to anyone making things exist because they just need to.

Helloooo…Summer! Our Summer newsletter is officially off to subscribers! Packed with a couple hearty money storytelling techniques directly inspired by my latest performance in #Honeypot: Black Southern Women Who Love Women by @epatrickjohnson adapted by @d.soyini. One of the techniques is influenced by what is known as the 4th Wall in acting. So I’ve been noticing walls everywhere! Like this one at Miami International Airport, holding a masterpiece by Haitian artist, Edouard Duval Carrié.

WOW. A whirlwind on stage and back. If Wealth I Am teaches financial empowerment through STORYTELLING….then by all means I must BEE the story. At times, it is very necessary to fill my cup, learn vigorously by getting on stage and performing the stories of others. And more importantly the stories of people society has “othered”.

In @fjtheatre “Honeypot: Black Southern Women Who Love Women”, I, along with my phenomenal castmates, play a multitude of black queer women in the South. And the metaphor of bees is used throughout! (We love a good framing device.)

So many storytelling techniques learned while preparing for this play, which may, in turn, find their way into future Wealth I Am workshops.

I’m often asked: “Do you do workshops for kids?” Although the answer is no, money is funny and money stories even more so. Financial beliefs and behaviors can most certainly get passed down from one generation to the next (whether we realize it or not). Are we passing on generational wounds or goodness?

We unpack this in our workshops. So yes (indirectly) we’re doing it for the kids.
