Dear you,

The one who’s been thinking about trying reformer pilates but hasn’t quite found the courage to book. We see you 🖤

Maybe you’re worried you won’t know what you’re doing. That everyone else will be fitter, stronger or more experienced than you. Maybe you’re thinking you need to get a little fitter before you start.

Here’s what we want you to know.

- You don’t need to know pilates to start pilates.
- You don’t need to be strong, flexible or coordinated.
- And you certainly don’t need to have it all figured out.

That’s why we created Fundamentals. A class where we teach you the reformer, introduce you to movement and help you build confidence – not just on the reformer, but in yourself.

And don’t mistake Fundamentals for easy! You’ll get an incredible full-body workout, with plenty of guidance, encouragement and choices along the way.

Every single person you see in our studios had a first class once. And we promise, nobody walked in knowing everything. You just need to take that first step - we’ll take care of the rest.

Love,
Team Pulse 🖤

P.S. That class you’ve been thinking about booking? This is your sign. Comment BEGIN and we’ll help you get started.

October is Menopause Awareness Month, and we're talking about something that matters to so many women in our Pulse community 🖤

Perimenopause and menopause aren't just about hot flushes and periods. Changing hormones can affect our muscle strength, bone health, sleep, mood and the way our bodies feel.

And whilst we can't control every change, we CAN take positive steps to support our health.
At Pulse, we believe in training for life. Through expert coaching, progressive resistance, intentional movement and a community that supports you every step of the way.

Because this isn't about trying to look 25 again. It's about feeling strong, confident and capable at 45, 55, 65 and beyond.

We're not just training for the bodies we have today. We're building strength for all the life still ahead of us. And that's a future worth getting stronger for 🖤

Save this post, share it with a woman who needs to hear it, and tell us - how has movement helped you through midlife?

SOMETHING BIG IS COMING TO THE PULSE STUDIOS!

You loved it so much last year, we’re bringing it BACK. And this year, we’re going even BIGGER!

Introducing POWERED BY ME. The Pulse Challenge 2026.

On National Fitness Day, we asked our Pulsers a simple question: What powers you? And your answers reminded us exactly why we do what we do 🖤

Because strength isn’t just about what happens in the studio - it’s about what that strength gives you outside it.

The confidence to try something new. The energy to do more of what you love. The feeling of doing something just for YOU.

And that’s what this year’s challenge is all about.

Your strength. Your goals. Your challenge. And a whole Pulse community right there with you!

We’re not giving too much away just yet… 👀

But mark your calendars for Friday 30th October, when we’ll be revealing EVERYTHING!

Who’s ready for another Pulse Challenge?! ⚡🙌

The one that challenges you, supports you and occasionally makes you question your life choices😜

Meet the Align C8-Pro, our reformer of choice at Pulse.

Beautifully engineered, incredibly versatile and designed for serious work. But there's a lot more to this machine than meets the eye. Let's get acquainted 🖤

Did you know that not all reformers are designed or built to the same standards? From the engineering and quality of the components to the smoothness of movement, resistance and adjustability, there are important differences.

At Pulse, we've chosen to partner with Align-Pilates, a leading British supplier of professional pilates equipment. Why? Because we believe the equipment you train on matters.

We invest in professional reformers that give our trainers the versatility to tailor exercises to different bodies, abilities and levels of experience.

So you can feel supported, challenged and confident in your movement. And you have peace of mind that you can move safely as we push you.

It's one of the many choices we make behind the scenes to give you the best possible experience 🖤

Meet the moving part of your reformer. The carriage glides along the frame, creating the smooth, controlled movement that makes reformer pilates so versatile.

And that smooth movement matters. It allows you to focus on control, stability and working through different ranges of movement.

So you can build strength across different body positions, rather than simply going through the motions.

And yes, sometimes keeping that carriage still is harder than moving it 😜

These are where things get interesting. The springs provide resistance, and changing the combination changes the challenge.

But here's something you might not know. More springs doesn't always mean a harder exercise! Depending on the movement, lighter resistance can actually demand more control and stability.

Our C8-Pro reformers have five springs with different resistance levels, giving our trainers plenty of options. So we can meet you where you are, challenge you appropriately and help you to keep getting stronger.

Clever little things, aren't they? 🖤

Hands in straps, feet in straps….you know the dril by @weare.pulse

Two women, a brew and a good old natter ☕️🖤

Today I sat down with the lovely Tessa for what was supposed to be a little chat about our new Pulse studio in Great Harwood. 20 minutes later, we were still going! 😂

Two women, two studio owners, sharing our experiences, our thoughts on running businesses, the importance of community and our excitement about coming together to create something really special for women in Lancashire.

It’s an honest, lovely conversation about so much more than pilates and yoga.

And who knows, maybe this is episode one of our very own podcast?! 🎙️😂

So grab yourself a cuppa, get comfy and have a watch. We hope you enjoy listening to our conversation as much as we enjoyed having it.

Here’s to new beginnings, women supporting women and building something wonderful together 🖤.

Jokes aside, feet in straps is SO much more than a lovely stretch at the end of class.

It’s body maintenance - deep, intentional movement to support muscle recovery, improve mobility and calm your nervous system.

Because building strength is important, but so is giving your body and mind what it needs to recover, reset and feel good - after your workout (and everything your week has thrown at you!) 🖤

Came for the pilates. Stayed for…🖤

We don’t train just to ‘get better’ at pilates. We use pilates to train for life.

The community & good vibes✨

The familiar faces, the friendships, the laughs and the encouragement. A place where everyone belongs and where working hard and having fun go hand in hand.

The confidence it gives me ✨

That feeling when you achieve something you never thought you could! From walking into your very first class to surprising yourself with what your body can do. We’re here to help you build confidence that goes way beyond the reformer.

The standard of coaching✨

This one really matters to us. Our fully certified trainers don’t just take you through a workout. They coach, teach, guide and challenge you. They offer choices, help you progress and make sure you’re getting the most from every single class. Because great coaching makes all the difference. by @weare.pulse
