durante muito tempo, falamos sobre os dias que inspiraram a ANGA. agora podemos começar a mostrar o que nasceu deles.

o nosso primeiro poncho reúne muitas das escolhas que fizemos desde o início, mas talvez a mais importante seja esta: queríamos criar uma roupa que realmente pertencesse a esse universo.

uma peça para vestir, levar, usar e fazer parte dos dias que acabam sendo guiados pelo vento.

esse é o primeiro produto da ANGA. e, nos próximos posts, vamos contar com mais calma tudo o que existe por trás dele.

for a while, we’ve been sharing the kind of days that inspired ANGA. now we finally get to show what came out of them.

our first poncho brings together many of the ideas we’ve carried from the start, but one mattered most: we wanted to make something that genuinely belonged in this world.

something to wear, pack, live in, and keep close on days shaped by wind and water.

this is ANGA’s first piece. over the next few posts, we’ll share more of what went into making it. taken in Cumbuco, Ceará, Brasil by @weareanga

quem viaja atrás do vento sabe que espaço e peso deixam de ser detalhes bem rápido.

por isso, uma das ideias que acompanhou os ponchos da ANGA desde o início foi conseguir levar uma peça de tamanho inteiro e fazê-la ocupar muito pouco quando chega a hora de guardar.

com cerca de 450 g e aproximadamente 23 × 23 cm quando fechado, o poncho encontra espaço na bagagem sem exigir muito dela.

that’s why one idea stayed with us from the very beginning: how do you make a full-size piece feel almost effortless to bring along?

@elisapasculli e @cordeirovit chegaram ao kite por caminhos diferentes, mas encontraram no esporte muitas das mesmas coisas que já buscavam na vida: movimento, natureza, curiosidade e vontade de descobrir o mundo.

com o tempo, as viagens também viraram espaço para dividir ideias, sonhos e perguntas sobre o que gostariam de construir juntos.

a ANGA nasceu um pouco dessa amizade e muito da vontade de continuar perto daquilo que o kite trouxe para os dois.

Elisa and Vitor found kitesurfing through different paths, but discovered many of the same things in it: movement, nature, curiosity and a desire to keep exploring the world.

over time, their trips also became a space to share ideas, dreams and questions about what they wanted to build together.

quem vive dias de kite sabe que o tempo de exposição ao sol vai muito além do velejo. tem deslocamento, espera, equipamento para montar, pausas na praia e horas que acabam passando quase todas do lado de fora.

kite days tend to come with a lot more sun than just the time spent riding. there’s the journey, the setup, the waiting, the breaks on the beach and all those hours that somehow end up being spent outdoors.

that’s why Atins has something no other ANGA poncho in this collection does: UV protection.

tem alguma coisa em Cumbuco que faz o kite parecer parte da rotina do lugar. você acorda pensando no vento, olha para o céu e já encontra alguns kites no ar, cruza com gente que veio de longe pela mesma razão e, de repente, o assunto do dia inteiro gira em torno da próxima sessão.

dá para velejar no mar, buscar o flat do Cauípe, sair para um downwind ou simplesmente ficar por ali vendo o vento ganhar força ao longo do dia. água quente, muitos dias bons na temporada e aquela sensação de que sempre tem alguém chegando ou ficando mais um pouco.

Cumbuco aparece tantas vezes nas histórias de quem veleja por tudo o que acontece dentro e fora da água. você vai pelo kite, mas dificilmente volta só com o velejo.

foi esse lugar, e tudo o que ele representa para quem vive o kite, que inspirou Cumbuco, uma das primeiras estampas dos ponchos ANGA.

there’s something about Cumbuco that makes kite feel less like an activity and more like part of the rhythm of the place. you wake up thinking about the wind, look up and there are already kites in the sky, and somehow everyone around you seems to be planning the day around the next session.

you can ride the ocean, head to Cauípe for flat water, set off on a downwinder or simply stay around and watch the wind build through the day. warm water, long windy seasons and that feeling that someone is always arriving, or deciding to stay a little longer.

Cumbuco finds its way into so many kite stories because of everything that happens both on and off the water. you go for the wind, but you rarely come back with just a session.

Barra Grande tem uma combinação difícil de esquecer: vento constante, água quente, ruas de areia e uma vila pequena onde o kite já faz parte da rotina.

os dias passam entre sessões, caminhadas, comida boa e encontros que começam na praia e continuam depois do velejo. tudo tem um fluxo muito próprio, e foi justamente esse movimento que inspirou a estampa Barra Grande.

as curvas do desenho nasceram dessa ideia de água, vento e caminhos que nunca seguem totalmente em linha reta.

é a nossa forma de levar um pouco de Barra Grande para dentro da coleção.

Barra Grande has a mix that stays with you: steady wind, warm water, sandy streets and a small village where kiting is just part of everyday life.

days move between sessions, long walks, good food and encounters that start on the beach and carry on long after you're off the water. that natural flow became the inspiration for the Barra Grande print.

its curves came from the movement of water, wind and paths that never quite follow a straight line.

Dakhla foi a escolha do Michael pra aprender kite. vento que não para, água lisa, e um dos melhores lugares do mundo pra quem tá começando.

entre uma sessão e outra, ele vestiu o poncho Barra Grande, pra se proteger do vento quando o sol baixa e o corpo esfria.

um spot pode ter vento perfeito, água boa e uma sessão incrível. mas o que fica na memória costuma ser mais difícil de medir.

o barulho do kite subindo, uma condição que encaixou melhor do que o esperado, quem estava na água naquele dia, a conversa enquanto o equipamento era guardado, o mar ainda se mexendo quando já era hora de ir embora.

com o tempo, essas pequenas lembranças começam a se misturar ao próprio lugar e alguns spots acabam ocupando um espaço que vai muito além do velejo.

qual spot você ainda lembra como se tivesse velejado ontem?

a spot can have perfect wind, great water and an unforgettable session. but what stays with you is usually harder to measure.

the sound of the kite going up, conditions that turned out better than expected, the people sharing the water that day, conversations while packing up, the sea still moving when it’s already time to leave.

over time, those small memories become part of the place itself. and some spots end up meaning much more than the session you had there.

em um dia de kite, o vento acompanha quase tudo. é o que você espera para entrar na água, mas também o que encontra quando sai molhado, quando a temperatura muda ou quando passa um tempo na praia entre uma sessão e outra.
