We act as a bridge between first experiences and further career opportunities.

We work closely with productions, awarding bodies, directors, talent agents and casting directors to provide training and consultancy in the areas of safeguarding, equity and authentic representation.

Our talent development work helps the transition from first credit towards a lasting sustainable career within the creative industries. We are committed to supporting and developing new and emerging underrepresented screen talent by nurturing their potential and encouraging possibility.

💚ISH LUTON PREMIERE 💚

Since August 2024, we have partnered with the ISH team on a truly special project. We provided our Chaperone Plus+ on-set services for newcomer and street-cast talent, alongside our bespoke Sustain 24-month Aftercare Programme to support the cast long after filming wrapped.

At WAB, our mission is to use the creative industries as a vehicle for social change. We believe in the power of storytelling to shift perceptions, challenge attitudes, and validate existence. By facilitating innovative cultural production, we amplify the voices of marginalised groups and ensure the legacy and long-term participation of underrepresented talent in the arts.

Ish is now playing in cinemas nationwide, featuring a special Q&A tour at select venues throughout August.

Last May we had the pleasure of joining our incredible funders and their funded partners for a day of collective learning

For once, we were the participants as they led us through various exercises to get us rumbling with how we all contribute towards Pop Culture for Social Change

We worked collaboratively to imagine equitable futures and how each one of our organisations are working towards this shared mission

The Pop Fund was created with 3 clear goals:
1. Cultivate Community Leadership
2. Strengthen Organisations
3. Build Infrastructure

We are so grateful for their support to help us contribute to the practice of using creativity and popular culture to advance racial, migration and social justice alongside such incredible organisations - what a blessing ✨

ISH - 31st July 2026 - UK Release 🎥

We have been working alongside the incredible Ish team on this special project since August 2024. WAB have provided our Chaperone Plus+ on set services for newcomer and streetcast talent, and our bespoke Sustain 24 month Aftercare Programme of support for the cast in what has been a beautiful journey.

We are so proud of this project, and full of admiration working alongside the brilliant Producer @dhiraj_mahey, Director @imranperretta , and this talented, committed and generous young cast.

That's a wrap on our 2026 Breakthrough Performer's Programme 🎭

Running over six months, the programme includes sessions covering career development, wellbeing, casting, safeguarding and financial literacy, aiming to equip the performers for long term careers.

This year’s programme was ran by BIFA and @wearebridgeuk
and has been generously supported by @itg_ltd , @col.needham and Karen Needham on behalf of @imdb, @see_saw_films, with additional contributions from @creativeartistsmanagement, @cvgg_ltd, @curtisbrowntalent @thecurtisbrowngroup, larkmanagement and donations from casting directors, producers and directors.

At the end of May we completed our Sustain Programme of aftercare support with the cast of Brides @neonfilmsuk ✨️ Over a 7-month period we delivered a series of workshops and sessions, including :

🌱 Welcome workshop
🌱 Wellbeing & Empowerment sessions co-led with Dionne Reid @kidinyou
🌱 Financial Literacy sessions with our partner accountacy firm Blinkhorns
🌱 Acting session with former RADA Lead Acting tutor Mel Jessop
🌱 Self-Taping workshop with acting coach and director Amanda Brennan

It has been a JOY to work with and support the cast of Brides - we thank you for your commitment to yourselves and the programme and we know your futures are mighty !! 💜 by @wearebridgeuk

Last month we completed a two stage Financial Literacy Workshop programme for 3rd year Acting @royalacademyofdramaticart students

March - Session 1
- Understanding what Financial Literacy is
- How to include it as part of your practice ‘looking after your money is looking after yourself’ 💜
- Understanding what it means to be Self Employed
- Preparing for Compulsory Deductions
- Handling and organising your expenses

June - Session 2
- Recap of session 1
- Navigating unpredictable income and examples of systems to manage this
- Interrogating example scenarios of freelancers in the creative industries
- Introduction to Making Tax Digital

Our sessions are co delivered by accountants at Blinkhorns so they combine finance advice with real life examples of the creative industries. We emphasise the importance of being in the drivers seat of your finances so you can reduce anxiety, stress and worry to free your mind to focus on your creative endeavours…

Wonderful RADA students, we wish you all the best as you graduate and enter the world of self employed work - cant wait to work with next years group!

Yesterday marked our final session of the @bifa_film x @wearebridgeuk 25-26 Programme ! 👏🏽🎬

Over the course of 7 months we've delivered a series of sessions to cohort 4, including building confidence through Wellbeing & Empowerment with Dionne Reid @kidinyou , preparing for in person auditions with a Casting workshop led by Casting Director Jatinder Chera @jatinstagram , preparing to be self-employed with a Financial Literacy session run in conjunction with Blinkhorns, and preparing for a creative future in our Career Development workshop, with a discussion chaired by filmmaker and Bridge Director Warda Mohamed @wardarosee and inspiring guest speakers, Producer Elizabeth Rufai @elizabeth_rufai (Jellyfish and Lobster, Homework, Urchin), and playwright and screenwriter Yasmin Joseph @yas.yasyasss (J'Ouvert, A Thousand Blows, Major Players), plus writing a letter to your future self as part of the longer-term commitment work towards achieving a 5 year-plan.

It's been a JOY to support the longlistees of the Breakthrough Performer category on their journeys so far, to celebrate their performances, independent filmmaking, the nominations, the wins, and their futures.

To our 25-26 cohort: thank you for your commitment to yourselves and the programme. We can't wait to see what you do next. ✨️ by @wearebridgeuk
