When we’re not playing the fool with our friends at @marshall, we like to relax with a nice calming bath. And as you know, we always use High School Musical bubble bath, for its rich scent and aromatic effects.

Whilst you’re having your Disney themed bath this evening, tune in to BBC Sussex, where our good friend @melitadennett is spinning our new single Time Away!

BBC Introducing in Sussex & Surrey, 8-10pm Saturday
BBC Sussex and BBC Surrey, BBC Sounds, smart speaker & DAB
Listen in Brighton on 95.3 FM
Listen in Sussex & Surrey 104-104.8 FM
Listen nationally & internationally online at BBC Sounds here:

Did we mention that cold ones taste better with our pals at @marshall?

The cup runneth over when our Alf is on top form. Working hard or hardly working. Am I right?

Step into the Marshall Studio with Brighton-based group @wearecomforts.

Giving up is easy: and in a space dominated by expensive PR, tours running at a loss and rising rents, art is a pursuit of the comfortable few. As a reflection of their surroundings, Comforts move into a new chapter in their pursuit of honest expression.

Their new EP, SUMS, (out later this year) is a culmination of late nights chasing highs, weekends that don't last and melodies you won't forget.

A tribute to the shrimp overlords @viagraboys before a big drop tomorrow. We can barely carry the weight of such a drop.

Thanks to everyone who came down to @thefinsbury last night. Cheers to @chalkpitcassetteclub for getting us together and unreal stuff from @piscespostbox and @park.days.

We gave it our best shot, and I think we can all agree that the roof moved slightly but stayed on. Next time we’re going for structural repairs. We go again. by @wearecomforts

Hey,
Before we press pause for the summer, we’re bringing one final Next Wave Live to @thefinsbury .

If you’ve been to one of our shows already, you’ll know what it’s all about. Great artists, great people and the chance to discover your next favourite band before everyone else catches on.

This month we’re bringing together three incredible acts from across the indie spectrum:

Comforts - @wearecomforts
One of the most exciting names emerging from the UK’s alternative scene right now. Comforts blend huge guitar hooks, driving rhythms and raw emotion into songs that feel equally at home in sweaty grassroots venues and on festival stages.

Park Days - @park.days
Bright, energetic indie packed with catchy melodies and feel-good moments. Park Days deliver the kind of songs that instantly get a room moving while still carrying plenty of heart beneath the surface.

Pisces - @piscespostbox
Dreamy, atmospheric and emotionally rich. Pisces create immersive indie soundscapes that pull you in from the first note, balancing delicate songwriting with moments of real intensity.

📍 The Finsbury, London
📅 Thursday 18th June
⏰ Music from 8pm
🎟️ Free Entry (Tickets via DICE)

What started as a cassette magazine has grown into a real community of music lovers, artists and collectors. Every month we bring artists from the pages of Next Wave to the stage, creating a space to discover new music away from the algorithm.

Whether you’ve been to every show or you’re thinking about joining us for the first time, we’d love to see you there.

Grab your free ticket and come celebrate one last indie night before summer.

See you at the front.
