Your chest can hold onto tension for years

This simple heart opener is a beautiful way to create space through your chest, shoulders and upper back.

We spend so much of our time moving forward, sitting, working, and looking at screens. Over time, that can leave the chest and upper back feeling tight and closed.

Taking a few minutes to gently open the chest can help you slow down, breathe more deeply and soften some of that built-up tension.

Let yourself settle into the support of the blocks and stay here for a few slow breaths.

You don’t have to force anything. Just try to create space here and breath into it 🤍 by @wearehermina

Your shoulders might be holding onto years of stress

This simple movement is one of my favourite ways to release tension from the shoulders, neck and upper back.

We carry so much tension in our bodies without even realising it. Stress, long days, sitting at a desk, constantly being “on” and emotions we haven’t had space to process can all show up in the shoulders and upper back.

That’s why taking time to release tension from your shoulders is such an important part of your practice. Creating space through the shoulders gives you an opportunity to slow down, breathe, soften and let go of some of what you’ve been carrying.

So if you often notice your shoulders creeping up towards your ears, or feel tension across your neck and upper back, let this be your reminder to pause.

Try to hold this pose for a couple of minutes or gentle shoulder rolls, thread the needle, eagle arms, puppy pose, melting heart or a simple neck and shoulder stretch 🤍 by @wearehermina

Lohès Sanctuary is becoming Hermina

I’ve been thinking about this change for a long time, and it finally feels like the right moment.

For the past few years, you’ve known this space as Lohès Sanctuary. It started as an idea, grew into something much more meaningful, and has become a big part of my own journey too.

For some reason, the name Lohès didn’t feel quite right anymore. I wanted to make it more personal, more connected to me and to what I’m creating.

So, I decided to do a rebranding and call it Hermina.

Hermina is my third name, and also the name of my grandmother. It feels really special to bring her name into something that means so much to me.

The name may be changing, but the intention behind this space remains the same.

A place for movement, stillness, connection and restoration.

If you feel like you can’t fully switch off, this is for you.

We created @rheia.retreat for the woman who is always on. The one who is constantly holding, building and creating, and rarely gives herself permission to fully slow down.

This is your reminder that your body is not designed to stay in constant activation.

RHEIA is a pause.

A space to slow the system, soften the body, and come back to yourself. That is the power of The RHEIA Method.

In November 2026, we’ll be welcoming our very first group of women for a 5-day Nervous System & Holistic Reset Retreat in the Algarve.

The most beautiful thing about life is that you can start all over again when you’re ready ❤️

I’ve found a new passion in life. Starting my own studio, doing a lot of inner work, participated on a lot of trainings to learn, heal and grow, closing chapters and opening new ones.

Last weekend was beautiful and I’ve learned so much about sound healing. That I even bought my own crystal bowls. My girls are making me so happy. Grateful for this week and the people that are trusting me to play my bowls for them. Even had my first 2 private sessions. I’ve a lot of new ideas and a lot of things are coming. So yeah you can create your own life even though you’re going through a hard time. I’m ready for all that’s coming.

I also collaborated with @aki.soundstudio . If you want to buy your own bowls you get €75,- discount on your first purchase with code LOES.

5 things i’m working on:

1. protecting my energy and peace
2. not taking everything personal
3. becoming more flexibel
4. meditating/ different breathing techniques
5. saying no more often

i’m noticing that i need to work a little more on the things above to become an even better version of myself.

what’s something that you’re working on lately? <3

6 variations of resting pose

there are multiple variations of a resting pose that you can apply anytime during your yoga practice. my personal favourites are the child’s pose & sitting kneel. here are 6 different variations:

sitting kneel pose:
- variation 1: knees a little wider & feet touch each other, hands in your lap. my favourite posture to calm the mind and align my body
- variation 2: knees a little wider & feet touch each other, hands on your knees. perfect pose for pregnant ladies. more space for the belly
- variation 3: knees & feet touch each other, hands on your knees. perfect grounding pose

child’s pose:
- variation 1: knees and tights touch, hands are falling next to your body. this is a good option for those of us with limited lateral hip extension and my personal favourite
- variation 2: knees as wide as the mat, toes touch each other. hands are forward, arms on the ground and forehead as well. this is a perfect pose for pregnant yogi’s, because there is more space for the belly
- variation 3: knees as wide as the mat, toes touch each other. hands are forward, arms are active and forehead is grounded. a more active child’s pose and good for lower back pain

child’s pose (in sanskrit balasana) & sitting kneel pose (vajrasana in sanskrit) are soothing stretches that have the following benefits:
- grounding
- gently stretches the hips, thighs, and ankles
- relieves stress, fatigue, and anxiety
- improves mental focus
- relieves back and neck pain
- relaxes the muscles on the front of the body
- passively stretches the muscles on the back of the body

what is your favourite resting pose?

if you would have asked me 1,5 years ago i would never have said that i would have the guts to follow my heart and do the things that are making me the happiest.

i’ve always dreamed about having my own business, to help people, but never knew how or in which form. 2 years ago i wasn’t feeling good at all, not happy, not having fun in the things i was doing. i changed my whole life, started sharing my 100 day challenge and after that my (healthy) lifestyle, my thoughts, wellness tips etc. people liked it and i got better in making content. i grew my socials and started to make content for companies in the wellness and (holistic) lifestyle industry.

little did i know that all of this was the start of building something bigger, being able to grow and follow a 200 hour yoga teacher training and straight after that a 50 hour yin yoga teacher training course, and here i am opening my own studio in less than 2 months time. i’m so grateful for everyone of you, all the questions i’m getting and growing my community.

i love every single one of you. thank you for being here 🤍
