What happens when you take one of the most technical, screen-heavy environments and… tell people to touch grass? 🌱

For MongoDB.local Build Fest in San Francisco, we helped bring MongoDB’s vision for the agentic AI era to life by creating playful, analog moments designed to get developers out from behind their screens and into the experience.

Cookie Captcha Machine – Prove you’re not a robot, get a fortune cookie. We even used Claude to code the interactive experience.

Race Car Track – Friendly competition, community connection, and a custom RC car for the daily winner.

Touch Grass Plinths – A literal reminder to take a break from the screen. Less screens, more green.

Outdoor Oasis – A moment to step outside, slow down, and reconnect with the world beyond the code.

The result? Plenty of smiles, photos, friendly competition, and genuine engagement from attendees and the MongoDB team alike.

Because in a world increasingly run on AI, the most memorable moments are still the human ones.

AI may be the future, but the best experiences still feel human.

What happens when you take a casual 9-hole outing and give it a tournament-caliber upgrade?

For Lumen at #Converge26, we transformed The Hay at Pebble Beach into a polished executive golf experience designed for real connection.

From a custom-branded tee box and tournament-grade details to custom scorecards, golf balls, ditty bags, wayfinding, and 100 Lumen-branded cookies, every touchpoint was intentional.

The challenge? Elevate the experience without losing The Hay’s relaxed, lo-fi elegance.

So we kept the branding subtle, the details thoughtful, and the surprises memorable.

The result was an experience that felt distinctly Lumen, naturally at home at The Hay, and built for the kind of connection that doesn’t happen on a trade show floor.

Over the past several months, we’ve worked hand-in-hand with our partners at @amazon to design and produce Fast Forward, a conference bringing together leaders from the middle-mile logistics industry.

Attendees traveled from across Europe to connect, learn, and collaborate in Rome. During load-in, our crew could be heard speaking Italian, English, German, and Polish as they built two back-to-back keynote stages, four breakout rooms, and an expo floor featuring a lightning stage and semi-private networking spaces known as The Yard.

Those languages, and many more, were translated live across every stage and presentation, creating a seamless and inclusive experience for attendees from around the world.

The program also featured an awards ceremony and reception at Casali del Pino, where attendees gathered in the Roman countryside to celebrate the people, partnerships, and accomplishments driving the industry forward. Against a backdrop of rolling hills and historic charm, the evening offered a meaningful opportunity to connect beyond the conference floor.

From concept to execution, Fast Forward was a true reflection of what happens when global audiences come together to move an industry forward.

We turned 16. We got a boat.

Filled it with the people we love working with and the people who have helped shape the journey.

Grateful for everyone who came out. And those who couldn’t, you were there in spirit.

16 years down. No plans to start playing it safe now.

Thank you for being part of our wild ride.

MongoDB and Manifold are lighting up San Francisco.

This week, MongoDB is taking over the city around MongoDB.local SF - starting with Project Greenlight, lighting up two of San Francisco’s most iconic landmarks: City Hall and the Ferry Building, both glowing MongoDB green.

And that’s just the beginning.

All week long, MongoDB is popping up across San Francisco with:
- Rivian fleets wrapped in MongoDB green
- Local coffee shop takeovers, custom drinks, swag, and surprise moments
- AI-generated developer trading cards made just for .local attendees
- Invite-only hacker house afterparties
- Underground robot fights (yes, really)

Designed and produced in partnership with Manifold, the activation turns a developer conference into a city-wide cultural moment - and reimagines how B2B brands can show up at consumer scale.

More to come this week.

A week in Rome, designing an international multi-day conference experience for our client partners. 🇮🇹

Our team landed in the Eternal City to walk the halls of Fiera Roma convention center, map every step of the guest experience, and uncover off-the-show-floor gems that will surprise and delight.

Our creative, production, and technical teams converged to sketch space layouts, vet hotel stays, and infuse every plan with the texture, flavor, and rhythm of Rome.

Because when we say we’re an extension of your team, we mean it. Global in reach. Grounded in craft.

Last week, we welcomed three talented @uoregon SOJC students, Brittany, Sasha, and Cosmo, to our Portland office through the Ducks Shadow Ducks program!

In just one day they jumped into agency life like pros: leading brainstorms, joining internal calls, and even crafting pitch decks! We loved the fresh ideas, big conversations, and all the inspiration they brought with them.

Huge thanks to Rachel Allen for making it happen, and to our student stars for bringing the energy!
