A singular ‘glimmer’ suggests a faint, fleeting trace of light, but the plural ‘glimmers’ embodies the tangible, grounding moments encountered within the fabric of our ordinary lives. Though individuals may appear fragile in the face of nature’s vastness, they begin to carry a collective gravity when their unique textures and stories converge. The Glimmers introduces six young Korean artists whose practices explore the expansion of individual density into a shared, vivid energy. This film offers a formal record of the curatorial vision, featuring intimate interviews that capture the strength and warmth inherent in their work. As part of 2026 YDF Festival, Edna had the opportunity to work with children at CommUNITY, an organisation based in Little Hulton. These sessions helped children understand the nuances of building 3D models and the power of generating art through ownership and accessibility. How do you get to create your own story when given access and voice? Through 3D modelling this exhibit explored what ownership looks like when adults support our children.
