We run Dubbed Out Festival with Germaine & Sarah and when we are not doing that, we love travelling as much as we can in our Crafter 🚐✨
We both love the coast, especially Cornwall but also love the Highlands of Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Time to introduce the Crafter. We have had this van for nearly 2 years. Husband designed and built it, with a little help from his friends 🫶🏽
In 2 years we’ve not needed to move a bull out of the way 🐂
We have not gone through deep water 💦
We have not used the spotlights 💡
We have not got stuck 🚫
We have not needed emergency water 💦
The only useful thing stuck to the outside of the van is the boxes 🥾🔨🔧🪓
It must be a man thing 🤷🏻‍♀️

Perfect overnight stop before the ferry from Roscoff.

This Camping Car Park site cost us just €14.25 and includes the usual services: 💦 water • 🔌 electric hook-up • 💩 chemical waste disposal • 🛜 WiFi. No bins on site, but you’ll find some a 2-minute walk away.

⛱️The beach is only a 2 minute stroll, with the GR34 coastal path right along the shore. A few minutes further and you reach a long crescent of golden sand backed by dunes (Plage des Amiets) dotted with rocky outcrops. At one end sits a charming stone cottage tucked into the rocks that you can walk up to.

📌 Another great spot to save if you’re exploring Brittany in a camper van 🚐✨

📍 Camping Municipal Saint-Gonvel, Landunvez

💶We paid €9 with electric. It was only later that we realised we shouldn’t have been on that side of the site. In low season they close the main campsite but still allow self contained motorhomes. They also barrier off the lane leading up to the hilly side with the epic views. We didn’t notice the barrier, drove round, saw a van already parked up there and a small entrance further along, so we pulled in and enjoyed the view. Nobody was around and no one asked us to move.

Basically, don’t count on that amazing view if you’re going out of season. Sorry!

Lovely area though. There’s a beautiful sandy beach about a 15 minute walk away with good waves when the conditions are right, and the GR34 trail runs right past the campsite 🥾

🧭 A day exploring Pointe de Pen-Hir, a dramatic rocky promontory on the Crozon Peninsula in Finistère, Brittany.

✝️ The point is both a natural spectacle and a place of memory. It is best known for the Croix de Pen-Hir (Monument aux Bretons de la France libre), a massive granite Cross of Lorraine dedicated to the Bretons who joined Free France.

⚓️ Just before the point stands the Musée Mémorial de la Bataille de l’Atlantique (Battle of the Atlantic Memorial Museum), housed in a former German casemate of the Atlantic Wall within the Kerbonn battery. It was closed when we visited. Outside is the Chemin des Ancres (Path of the Anchors), a simple but powerful outdoor memorial.

💥 Nearby are the Kerbonn fortifications, free to explore. You can wander the ruins and look into the dark stairways and chambers.

🅿️Parking is free at both sites. The large car park for the Croix de Pen-Hir is quite rocky and bumpy, while the smaller parking area across from the museum is smoother but fills up quickly.
