BLOSSOM SOCIAL lands at WEAR.

A new night for people who care about great tunes and finding something a little different.

All vinyl. No rules. Just gems, rarities and choice cuts spanning the worlds of folk, Balearic, dub, funk, ambient, soul, afrobeat, house, disco and trip hop, played through the incredible Fyne Sound System.

For the first Blossom Social, selectors SPEN (Blossom), Micky Campbell, Merrick Adams and Dan Price (FREQZ) will be digging deep in the crates from 6pm until late.

Alongside the music, expect craft beers from Vaux, Two by Two and Wylam, slush cocktails plus the chance to browse the latest fashion drops from the WEAR team.

Amazing to team up with the good people at @wearxco in my home city of Sunderland to shine a light on the great work they are doing.

WEAR offer a cracking range of garments from all the brands you and I know and love. They have a cracking Sea Change coffee shop on site, and are always spinning some great records, too. They’ve done a cracking job of the fit out of the store as well.

Above are some fits comprised of items available now in store and, as of this afternoon, on their website wearx.co.uk

Their profits help support their mission of providing new and better training and employment opportunities for talented, ambitious neurodiverse people, which is something to be celebrated.

I’ve picked up a few bits there myself lately and very happy with the whole experience (including the coffee 😊) but I will post about those another time! by @wearxco

Artist Spotlight - Samson Avenue.

“Taking inspiration from retro print media, match day programmes and memorabilia from yesteryear, our works try to evoke cherished memories from sports, entertainment and everyday life, utilising one retro element along the way.

Most works begin life as pencil drawings, retaining a sense of tradition, whilst acting as the backbone to the physical and digital hand-drawn pieces. (No Al used)”.

All prints are made with:
-Thick 100% recycled and recyclable paper.
-Packaged with 100% recycled and recyclable grey board.
-Housed within biodegradeable “cello” bags formed with the help of plant starches and sugars for a more environmentally conscious approach.

Available in store now.
