I ‘M G U E S S I N G Santa smells like peppermint with a hint of reindeer fur..
.
.
I imagine his red suit also carries the scent of a crackling fire, fresh snow, and maybe just a hint of Christmas magic. After all, Santa is always on the go - so who has time for dry cleaning?? Right now, he’s probably checking his list, polishing the sleigh, giving the reindeer an extra pat, and reminding the elves to take a break every now and then.
.
.
This maybe one of the last Christmases that Rhett still carries the “magic of believing”. I’ll have to ask Rhett, after we go visit Santa this year, if he had a certain smell..
.
.
It’s so intriguing how a smell can bring you back to a certain time, a certain place, with a certain person from years ago.. What time or place do peppermint hard candies bring you back to??

Halloween signs should be arriving in the mail and I’m loving seeing your photos of them up already!! Thank you again for all the purchases - and enjoy your week!! If I’m MIA just know it’s bc I’ll be at the market. Much love to you all 🤍🤍

D O N ‘ T TA K E Candy Corn from a Witch!
(An original poem by Rhett and I):

On All Hallows Eve, beneath the full moon,
A little witch sang a spooky haunting tune.
She stirred a black pot with a large wooden spoon,
And called, “Candy corn! Candy Corn! Come get it soon!”

But little boy Timmy stopped and shook his head.
“I’ve heard strange things..,” he quietly said.
“..But candy from a witch? Oh, no, not me—
I’d rather have some sweet chocolate candy!”

The witch just giggled, cackled, then let a long sigh,
Looked deep into his soul and said, “Dear, don’t be shy!”
My candy corn makes you laugh and makes you fly!”

Timmy grinned and said, “That all sounds neat…
But I’ll stick with candy I know is sweet!”

So remember, friends, when Halloween’s here:
Don’t take candy from a witch who calls you, “dear”.
Take treats from friends you know are kind,
And leave all witches, their treats behind!

F U L L M O O N tonight! Watch for witches flying in over the moon - coming
in for the start of spooky season!!
.
.
Legend says that on a full moon, the veil between our world and the mysterious unknown grows a little thinner… making it the perfect night for magic, mischief, and a little bit of spooky fun.
.
.
So if you look up at the moon tonight, watch closely - you might just see something fly by. And if a witch offers you her broom, take it for a ride!! 🧹🌕🧙‍♀️

S H I V E R S. You know a Haunted House was good when you walk out with the shivers! And really, October seems to bring a little “chill” to everything around you - cooler weather, spooky feels, and plenty of frights and delights all around!
.
.
A few years ago, we went to a haunted house in Salt Lake City. To exit the house, you had to lay in a wood coffin - they closed it on you and it turned into a SLIDE that went out of the house!! Crazy cool. And then we were chased by a scary person to our car!!! Goosebumps definitely guaranteed that night!!

P U M P K I N P I C K I N G is truly an art 🎃. There are so many fun varieties to choose! Big ones, little ones, orange, white, and of course the delightfully ugly warty ones. I usually go for the medium sized orange pumpkins - the ones that are juuust right for carving the perfect Jack-o-Lantern.
.
This sign was inspired by all the different varieties of pumpkins at a pumpkin patch. Which pumpkin tends to draw you in??

L A S T W E E K of summer break - so we have been talking about our last plans before school starts. On the list is fishing!
.
.
Over the weekend, we went tubing down the river and four wheeling. My boys (including my husband) are always all about the fun outdoor adventures!
.
.
Before we know it, Fall will be here! And little trick or treaters soon arriving in their costumes and masks! Remember when you could buy them in these boxes at the Halloween store? Ben Cooper and Collegeville were always the top faves. I’ve been behind the scenes getting ready for the Halloween sign drop in between all the summer fun! Always lots to do to be ready - so excited! Friday, Sept. 4th 😊😊🤍🎃
